Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum

Smells warm, vanilla is present. I smells some pear and pink pepper. A hint of God aweful orange blossom. Idk if my tastes have changed over time but I dont like this as much now as when I tested it in stores in the past. What a fucking disgrace to the Opium perfume line. Literally none of the same notes. No myrrh, no resins at all. Its basic af patchoili and vanilla with coffee, orange blossom and some pear and pepper. Very similar to La vie est belle tbh. Also more similar to the flankers than I realized.

It isn't totally aweful I will admit, just not what I expected. I'm pretty over the boring vanilla patchouli orange blossom pear combo by now.

Opionion so far: 4/10 boring. I probably would not wear this again unless some weird mood hit me, but it isn't something I would regularly desire to wear.

After 15 minutes a lot of the Orange blossom and pear has faded luckily, it smells more like Jasmine now and is more pleasant. I can still smell the coffee and bitter almond pretty well. T I am liking the middle and base notes a lot more now that those top notes have faded

Mmm I may have over reacted. I am liking this a more now. Maybe a 5 or 6 for current smell.

Been about 40 min. Predominantly jasmin and coffee rn

90 min becoming fruitier again. Not smelling super woody but I smell  a lot of the vanilla and a bit of the coffee almond and licorice

3 hours smelling mostly of vanilla now.

Overall this one isn't as bad as the opening lead me to believe. I give this a final score of 5.5/10. Not great, not terrible. I can't imagine myself wearing this regularly but maybe I will hold onto it for certain occasions.

I got some perfumes to review for myself, just came in the mail so I haven’t gotten a chance to do a wear test yet but, very exciting :)

I got a few of the kayali scents to try, a huda beauty sister brand.

I’ve been wanting these for the longest time after I received a sample of a few, so I’m so glad I can finally give them a try. Just saying, it wasn’t an impulse buy, and I know it’s very expensive to get them all. But this is something I’ve been decided on for over a year now, so. I’ve given it a lot of thought.

Sucreabeille Goth AF perfume oil

Very powdery and woody. 10/10 Halloween scent but I can't imagine wearing it at any other time of year. It smells like fake old haunted house but in a balsamic way. Like the smell they pump into the haunted mansion ride at disney. It smells like the inside of Morticia Adam's coffin. I will deff wear this for every spoopy occasion. It doesnt Smell like death and decay it smells like opening an antique chest

Kayali- Deja Vu White Flower

(Huda Beauty sister fragrance brand) ✨

Wow. Okay so when I first smelled the initial spray I was scared because it smelled pretty intensely like a perfume my grandma wears thats very red and spicy. And I was like oh no. Lol

And then that went away in like 12 seconds, not even. And, it started warming up and rolling into like, vanilla and warm sweet flowery fragrance. And this warmer sweeter aspect continued developing over the next 3 hours. After that point it didn’t really change.

It has that luxury top note over the gardenia and vanilla-warm smell, which, I don’t know how to describe what it is, but it makes it smell super expensive, super luxury, super glam.

When I wear it I feel like THAT bitch. I feel pretty and ultra feminine, extreme high class, and rich. Girly rich glam luxury. Lol I love it.

The first two sprays, I thought omg, it’s too strong oh no! But it evens out and tones down over the next 15 minutes to an hour, so you don’t have to worry about it being “too strong” it’s just that initial spray that is quite powerful.

I would say it lasted 8 hours and then began fading significantly enough to warrant one more spray as a top up to go longer. 12 hours later with no top up I still smell it on my wrists but, I feel like I’m not wafting it around as much just, its more subtle at that point like if someone got close to you they’d go oh you smell kinda good but they’d only be getting a fraction of the initial scent as it was when freshly applied. By 24 hours later I still smell it on my wrist faintly which is indication of a luxury perfume, as it did not disappear completely.

The packaging is absolutely stunning and beautiful quality, I’m obsessed with it, and the top stays on really well that you could just throw it in your bag and the glass is so thick and sturdy feeling it wouldn’t break.

10/10

favorite Kayali perfume, and if you’re going to get any of them, get this one. This is their most popular and best seller, as well as their newest released one. And I can see why it’s the most popular. At first I thought this would be over rated, but it truly is unique and gorgeous. It’s the perfect ‘glam girl’ gift for holidays.

I would say maturity level it can be wearable for any age as well but I see the market for it being more in my age rage, 20’s and early 30’s.

You literally only need 1-2 squirts of this, otherwise you’d be approaching over board. Just a warning on that. Don’t over do it or you’ll be sick & get head ache.

If you are someone who is very sensitive to fragrance (have a head ache condition, etc.) this is definitely on the stronger end of the spectrum of perfumes, and if you prefer something lighter and airy, and less noticable, subtle, etc. I don’t think you’ll like this because of it being a little heavier and stronger than the average.

It’s beautiful scent, very much like the name it smells like a graceful milky white flower, soft and, with a hint of vanilla.

Along with it I also demo’d the Kayali White Flower Deja Vu Hair Fragrance Spray

And this you can be a little heavier handed with, I did three sprays 1 on each side of my head, on top of my miracle it’s a 10 leave in conditioner.

And it does make your hair smell subtly and lightly, faintly like the white flower perfume, it surprisingly wasn’t powdery or too warm either, and didn’t leave a thickness, residue, slick-gel or anything strange on my hair. You couldn’t tell I sprayed product on it appearance and feel wise. And it didn’t weigh down my hair at all or create any change in texture. Leaving it silky smooth, soft, and light.

This fragrance for hair was also like that, very soft, light, and luxury. The luxury top note I mentioned in the kayali fragrance is still there, and combined perfectly balanced with the vanilla gardenia white milky scent, to just be delicious. It smells very ‘rich’ person.

But the hair spray is much much lighter and air-y which is nice, because in combination with the perfume, it’s not ‘too much’ you just smell nice. Without it being too over powering or nauseating. It’s more subtle but, still attaches to the hair very well, and stays on it for very long periods of time.

It’s a full 24 hours later, and my hair still smells like it. It’s lovely and my favorite product from Kayali so far.

If you’re trying to decide between getting the perfume and the hair fragrance, I actually recommend getting the hair fragrance first because it’s just so nice, and light, and wonderful.

the packaging is matte white feel, with a gold top, and it feels very luxury and is super light weight so you could throw in your gym bag or your purse and it wouldn’t be a hassle. It’s small enough for that, but large enough to not feel like you’re not getting a lot.

11/10.

 Hexennacht Arsenic perfume oil

First impression smells like pumpkin spice and I am loving it!

I may mix a few drops with perfumer's alcohol in a 5 ml atomizer to make this a spray. It comes in a vial and the lid has a dipper attached then you rub the oil onto your skin.

Cinnamon and clove very strong at first (pleasantly strong, not headache strong) pumpkin and sugar also very detectable.

After 5-10 min buttercream and vanilla sugar cookie notes are coming out

I smell like a snickerdoodle and I like it. A great fall scent.

This smells like something that would also make a great candle. Kind of reminds me of Brambleberry Pumpkin Pie soap fragrance oil. There is a decernablee transition from the chai spices to the pumpkin scent to the more vanilla cookie base at the end.  This is basically a pumpkin spice scented perfume oil. This is a good scent for fall/ halloween, it makes me wonder what a truly Arsenic scented perfume would smell like though.

I would definitely consider wearing this again, I'll probably end up using most if not all of the tiny slink (.76 ml vial) I have by the end of Fall this year. I wouldnt consider wearing this at other points of the year and I wouldn't wear it for a date or fancy occasion. This is something I'll wear around the house to spice up day to day and possibly to Thanksgiving with my fam and Dumb Supper (Holloween feast to honor the dead) with my friend.

I could imagine sitting around a cackling fire, surrounded by friends and loved ones trading stories deep into the night while enveloped in a scent like this. It smells very homey and welcoming.

The Scent fades very fast, I applied it twice and both times it was gone after only an hour. I think I probably will mix a few drops with perfumers alcohol and test it as a way de parfum spray. That will be in a few days though. I'll post an update on that at a later date.

Overall reveiw: 6/10 Smells super pleasant but I would probably prefer this as a candle instead of perfume. Also points docked bc it fades so quickly which is shocking bc it isn't cheap.

*Edit: I did indeed blend some of this perfume oil into Eau de Parfum, 20%. It needs to sit for a few days to mix properly, then I'll test it again in a follow up post

Updated Arsenic oil in perfumer's alcohol:

Suuuper good, like a pumpkin spice sugar cookie! Mmm very cinnamon and snickerdoodle. Still has very short lifespan.

It's a goth themed perfume house, they have a whole collection called Old World Poisons or something like that. Arsenic, cyanide, morphine, lead, chloroform etc.

So this is fucking cool. I've been using the app influenster for 4 years and they've been sending me more and more expensive stuff as of late. Yeet. This month they sent me a full sized 50mL Tom Ford perfume to review. Usually expensive items come in little samples and only cheap items come full size. This bottle is $350 on the Tom Ford website. (For those who haven't tried it, influenster is a consumer testing app where brands send you new products for free, you try them for whatever their time limit is- usually between 2 weeks to 2 months- then write a review on the brand's website. Participation is not dependent on leaving positive reviews. I've given a lot of 3 star reveiws to items I didnt like and really wrecked the last item I got bc it was just an obvious cheap cash grab that made my skin break out. As long as you actually write reviews after receiving samples you are eligible to keep receiving nicer and nicer stuff to review.)

I'm gonna wear this all day, my thoughts on Rose Prick coming soon
