I had to take the conscious decision to not take offense at that, MissC. Horrendous.

Her perfume has musk in it and it's been driving me into heat.

There is no denying my programming.

Miss Dior Eau De Toilette Rollerpearl (left), Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Rollerpearl (right).

Miss Dior Eau De Toilette Rollerpearl

Fragrance Family: Floral

Scent Type: Warm Floral

Key Notes: Grasse Rose, Lily of the Valley, Patchouli

Fragrance Description: The sparkling zests of blood orange and mandarin illuminate the top notes. At the heart of the perfume, lily of the valley brings freshness and lightness to the spicy burst of Grasse rose. A base of clear patchouli brings these happy notes together in an endless round.

About the Bottle: Elegant, travel-size, glass bottle topped with a delicate rollerball for easy application. Perfect for touch-ups or perfuming on the go, the glass roller tip delivers just the right amount of fragrance right where you want it.

About the Fragrance: Miss Dior is a thrilling and refreshing floral whirlwind. Dior captures falling head over heels in love in a bottle.

Rollerpearl (toilette, travel size) or De Parfum (full size bottle)- The full size has a high concentration, and therefor will last longest on the skin, and the scent itself will be stronger from a single application compared to the toilette.

My opinions:

-light weight in purse for travel (took this on my trip to Chicago and loved the convenience of it)

-the bottle is super pretty

-I’ve had it for almost 12 months and no separation, change in the product or color inside bottle has occurred

-the scent lasts on you all day, no need for reapplication

-subtle enough so you don’t nauseate yourself, but still noticable by others in close proximity. But faint enough to not intoxicate them either. Not obnoxious in this slightest, overpowering.

The scent itself is young and youthful, as compared to some perfumes which remind me of an old lady, or just smell kind of like a baby. It is luxurious, without being horrid and wretched. Some high end luxury perfumes often over do it. But I enjoy the lightness and freshness to this. It’s not heavy, no vanilla, no sugar, no deep notes, nothing like that.

And it just smells like, visually, a pink sparkling light pastel rose would. It’s great to wear when getting dressed up in your finest silks, it feels fancy, elegant. It’s very *clean* and pure.

The past year, 2019, I’d say it was my favorite during that entire year. You really don’t need the full size, as I’ve worn this quite a lot and applied it generously and still haven’t run out.

I put it on my wrists and neck and that’s plenty.

Haven’t tried any of the other Dior perfumes yet, but I saw a hair mist on sephora and I’m eyeing it for sure. I love pretty much all of Dior’s products, the brand as a whole so. They just have never disappointed me in any facet thus far, ever. Highest marks for Dior haha ❤️

I'm currently using Not A Perfume after receiving a sample from a subscription thing. It's ok. My all time favorite is L'eau D'issey but its just too fancy for this stay at home pandemic bs.

 Hexennacht Arsenic perfume oil

First impression smells like pumpkin spice and I am loving it!

I may mix a few drops with perfumer's alcohol in a 5 ml atomizer to make this a spray. It comes in a vial and the lid has a dipper attached then you rub the oil onto your skin.

Cinnamon and clove very strong at first (pleasantly strong, not headache strong) pumpkin and sugar also very detectable.

After 5-10 min buttercream and vanilla sugar cookie notes are coming out

I smell like a snickerdoodle and I like it. A great fall scent.

This smells like something that would also make a great candle. Kind of reminds me of Brambleberry Pumpkin Pie soap fragrance oil. There is a decernablee transition from the chai spices to the pumpkin scent to the more vanilla cookie base at the end.  This is basically a pumpkin spice scented perfume oil. This is a good scent for fall/ halloween, it makes me wonder what a truly Arsenic scented perfume would smell like though.

I would definitely consider wearing this again, I'll probably end up using most if not all of the tiny slink (.76 ml vial) I have by the end of Fall this year. I wouldnt consider wearing this at other points of the year and I wouldn't wear it for a date or fancy occasion. This is something I'll wear around the house to spice up day to day and possibly to Thanksgiving with my fam and Dumb Supper (Holloween feast to honor the dead) with my friend.

I could imagine sitting around a cackling fire, surrounded by friends and loved ones trading stories deep into the night while enveloped in a scent like this. It smells very homey and welcoming.

The Scent fades very fast, I applied it twice and both times it was gone after only an hour. I think I probably will mix a few drops with perfumers alcohol and test it as a way de parfum spray. That will be in a few days though. I'll post an update on that at a later date.

Overall reveiw: 6/10 Smells super pleasant but I would probably prefer this as a candle instead of perfume. Also points docked bc it fades so quickly which is shocking bc it isn't cheap.

*Edit: I did indeed blend some of this perfume oil into Eau de Parfum, 20%. It needs to sit for a few days to mix properly, then I'll test it again in a follow up post

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum Neon

Right off the bat very floral/ fruity. I can deff smell the Mandarin and orange blossom. Nice top notes. Alice can smell it across the room so good distance from just 1 spray.

I did try this once before several days ago, and I like it more now than last tine. It is interesting how perfume plays with skin chemistry, and can change based on hormonal changes in the body.

After 3 minutes the top notes are already fading though and now it smells more like it did the other day. The sweet mandarin has escaped and left dragon fruit and orange blossom behind. Some subtle woody notes deep under the middle notes.

6 minutes in, so far I really like it. The orange blossom smells more like real orange blossom than in nuit blanche. The fruity dragon fruit and lingering mandarin are also very pleasant. I like it as a fruity floral, not as an oriental though.

The bright fruitiness is fading very slowly while the less-juicy fruit and soft floral middle notes stay over a lightly detectable warm deep base.

It's been about 20 or 30 min now. I can smell white flower and dragon fruit but it isn't very sweet, there is a crispness to it.

Neon is certainly a good name for this however this scent is a terrible fit for the Black opium line and should have been a stand alone perfume. It doesnt smell oriental or patchouli at all, when encompassing that genre is basically the whole selling point of Black Opium.

Words I could imagine being used to describe this are "mystical" "hypnotic" and "crystal"

There is very much an awakeness to this perfume. It isnt sweet beyond the initial top notes and as it mixes through the middle notes these notes of energy and awakeness take over.

I liked it at first but not so much now 40 minutes later.

Some coffee base notes are starting to come out. They smell kinda good but clash with the other notes in the fragrance.

Been an hour, more coffee notes and possibly patchouli. Getting warmer.

Settling down to more coffee predominate. A chemical, bitter black coffee with dry floral notes

Overall it is like a slightly more pleasant version of nuit blanche. The best part was the fruity top notes but the smell just went downhill over time. It has some aspects I like but for the most part I would not wear this again. I'm trying to figure out what type of person would wear this and I'm stumped.

As I mentioned before this doesn't fit the scent niche of Black Opium and I think this and nuit blanche would be more fitting in their own line instead of as additions to the line. L'oreal owns YSL now though so they're just doing what l'oreal does, mass producing flankers and slapping best selling names on every single item they produce to squeeze it for every possible drop of profit the name is worth. Sadly it worked, I tried it after all.

Final review: for the initional scent and name Neon I give it 5, but I'm docking a point for trying to make this fit the Black Opium line up and for giving such bitter base notes after such sweet top notes.

Final score 4/10.

 Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Right off the bat super floral
Rose and jasmine easily detectable
Light bites of white musk add some sexiness without being overpowering

A very sophisticated woman type perfume. Classy, but not cold. This straight up smells expensive. Long marble hallways with gold trim, a woman in with a beige suede dress with white gloves and Pearl's holding the iconic bottle. That's a fitting image for this perfume.

I've reapplied about 4 times today and over time the scent changes only very little- unsurprisingly considering Coco Mademoiselle is essentially a blend of jasmine absolute and rose absolute with a tiny touch of iris and white musk.

The classic rose fragrance is the most predominant with the sweet notes of Jasmine carrying it along.

Overall review: 8/10 although more fitting for spring than fall I have throughly enjoyed this scent all day. I seem to be allergic too it (I'm allergic to roses) so I've been sneezing constantly all day but I would still certainly wear this again. I've yet to find Chanel perfumes for reasonable sample or decant prices, but I may one day buy a full bottle of this. The sample I'm wearing today I received as a free gift with the purchase of a different Chanel perfume years ago.
