does the florale by lancome smell like rose?

if so, does it smell like old lady, powdery, musty

No, it's iris and kinda like the floral notes in Marc Jacob's Daisey. I tried a spritz of the new LVEB Rose though and it smells way more like rose than like la vie est belle.

also are you certain all the samples you're receiving are not old and are the parfum version of the scent because that can have an effect on the strength and length of the wear.

All my little decants inbthe plastic vials are from Microperfumes.com which is reputable and popular in the online fragrance collecting/ sampling community. As I said and as the pic shows, the florale is a toilette and not a parfum. I dont think Lancome made a parfum of this one sadly, but on fragrantica some have compared e'clat to florale so I am adding e'clat to my list I want to test.

and can't wait for the tom ford review. I super into tom ford products eeee so I'm getting second hand excitement.

 Coming soon, c:

Tom Ford Rose Prick Eau de Parfum

So this is fucking cool. I've been using the app influenster for 4 years and they've been sending me more and more expensive stuff as of late. Yeet. This month they sent me a full sized 50mL Tom Ford perfume to review. Usually expensive items come in little samples and only cheap items come full size. This bottle is $350 on the Tom Ford website. (For those who haven't tried it, influenster is a consumer testing app where brands send you new products for free, you try them for whatever their time limit is- usually between 2 weeks to 2 months- then write a review on the brand's website. Participation is not dependent on leaving positive reviews. I've given a lot of 3 star reveiws to items I didnt like and really wrecked the last item I got bc it was just an obvious cheap cash grab that made my skin break out. As long as you actually write reviews after receiving samples you are eligible to keep receiving nicer and nicer stuff to review.)

I'm gonna wear this all day, my thoughts on Rose Prick coming soon

 Rose thorn
Immediately very sweet, powdery patchouli.

The rose is strong, complemented by the spices well. Without the vanilla to soften the spice it's much sharper than other rose spices I've smelled.

This smells like something I would save for special occasions, altho since I got it free I've been wearing it a ton around the house. That said, it does smell much more expensive than what would be appropriate for a daily perfume. I think it would be good for day or evening events, but not the kind of thing you wear to work or to run errands.

There is some tonka base notes to add a lingering sweetness. I would describe the scent as 60% rose, 35% wood and spice, 5% the tonka which sweetens without softening the edges.

Good scent, over time it didn't change to much, it just faded over about 3/4 hours. It can still smell it, but it is fainter since I washed my hands.

Overall review: 7/10 very pleasant, I will definitely continue wearing this one, but I'll save the rest for special occasions probably.

Lolita Lempicka Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum

 Lolita lempicka EDP

Very fruity, licorice isnt overwhelming luckily
Smells like Welche's Berry Gummies. Smells like powdery blackberry. I deff smell the violet and iris, as well as the anise and cherry.
I know this is supposed to have Amaryllis, which I love, but I can't detect it at all

After 10 min the licorice is a bit more detectable. Not my fav, this is like a thick syrupy fruity sweet. Good for winter, but kind of reminds me of fruity cough syrup.

This isn't lasting very long. It's been 21 minutes now. And it has already faded a lot. Granted, I did walk into a room that smells like soup and cinnamon during this amount of time, but even with my nose against my arm I don't smell the Lolita Lempicka nearly as much.

Been about an hour and 40 min. I didnt Smell the perfume much during this time but my wrist got wet when I washed my hands and that livened it up some for a tad.

Overall: I don't love this. The smell reminds me of Tylonal Cold and Flu medicine, and is somehow simultaneously thick and syrupy while barely there. I give this a 3/10. I may try this one more time just to give it a second opinion, but at this time I would never want to wear this as my fragrance of the day.

*Note: I layered Peach scented walmart brand body mist over this just because I wanted to smell like something fruity and good for the rest of the night and IMO it works well together. The juicy peach negates the thick syrupy notes and makes the berry smell more sweet-fruity rather than cough syrup-y. Maybe I should explore more with layering scents I don't like. Maybe I'll combine this with sea salt and wood sage next

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Intensement Eau de Parfum Intense

Opens very chypre, pleasant. I really smell the peony, white blossom, bergamot, and pear. Absolutely fantastic!! I am definitely a fan at this point. This smells like the notes in a lot of springy- toilettes I own. But it's much stronger which I appreciate.
Very fresh. The strong bergamot fades quickly after the initial spritzing

At 5 min, drying down to sweet white blossom. The scent reminds me of a fresh bouquet, or something a Bride would wear for a spring or summer wedding. This perfume makes me think warm sunny day outdoors, beautiful and romantic.

Been 40 min. Pear and bergamot top notes have deff faded, rose middle notes are more detectable

After 2 hours dries down to a very musky vanilla with some white blossom

3 hours: barely there, but still more than a toilette after thus long. Mostly light vanilla and musk with white flower notes soft, but not super sweet.

Overall: I give this a 9/10. It's absolutely magnificent. I NEED to get a bottle of this. Elegant, classy. This would be a good work-to-date and special occasion perfume. It's not inappropriately sexy, so it could even be worn for church but it smells so good it would even work for a classy wedding. The only thing I would change about this would be to add a touch of sweet juicy fruit top notes to complement the sour bergamot and pear ooening, but without disrupting the dry down

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy Eau de Parfum

Smells like playing toon town when I was 11
Opening smells like delicious sweet candy. I can deff smell the sweet stone fruit, but more complex.

After 30 min the orchid and iris come out a bit more. They add some tanginess to the sweet fruity top notes

At an hour, still fruity but becoming more floral. V nice

Overall: a staple in my collection, something I will keep wearing time and time again. 10/10 juicy sweet, a good perfume for those who want to smell like literal fruity candy.
