I rock Chopard. It is totally my style.

I tried to wear Fahrenheit by Dior, but I don't like the lemon note in it. Also, sillage is very weak which surprised me.

Lancome La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum

Slightly dissapointing compared to what I thought I remembered this scent smelling like (got a free sample at Sephora 2 ish years ago and liked it. This is a sample I got from belk earlier this week)

I'm confused that this doesnt smell the way I remember. I'm going to check my Sephora purchase history and see if free samples are included in past purchase records. I wasnt very aware of perfume flankers until starting this perfume collecting hobby so I may have not noticed if what I tried was a flanker.

So it turns out I was right in thinking the perfume had changed. I found my older sample of LVEB from several years ago and it is even a different color than the new one.

I googled "La vie est belle reformulation" and found a post on fragrantica titled "La Vie Est Belle Reformulated, did anyone else notice," in which the poster described that the bottom notes had been changed and the iris notes were heavily cut back. The new formula smells more like Black Opium than like its original self. No bueno. Review for the old formula coming soon, now that I found my old sample.

I feel like it's hard to know how good scents smell on yourself without a second opinion from being like 90% noseblind to our own stink.

I don't really care what others think of how I smell. I wear perfume so I can sniff my own wrist all day. Alice tells me which ones she likes or doesnt like on me, but besides her I'm never around anybody anyway

The entire point of perfume is to have it blend with your natural stink in a positive way. Have you smelled ill fitting perfume on people it's heinous when compared to the smell by itself.

You've got to sweat in the stuff and see if other people find it offensive or alluring.

There are great perfumes that uses musk for man, on the range of 40 to 60 dollars that are top rated among perfumes that are around 300 dollars.

If you do a good research, you will find many good brands for really good prices. I often hunt for woody and musk fragrance.

I've noticed some perfumes smell different on me than in the bottle, but I'm not around other people enough to care what they think of my smell. Some perfumes smell good in the bottle but not on me and I dont wear them because it isn't my preference. I just like good smells fam.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle L’Eau de Toilette Florale

I was going to review my original La Vie Est Belle today but bringing my old sample out reminded me I had this sample I hadn't tried yet and then I got excited to try it.

Initial crisp floral with strong hints of classic la vi est belle iris.
Some warm vanilla. Smells similar to la vie est bell legere
Pleasant, more so than the reformulated regular

Fresh, floral, not overly sweet
Smells like a good day in 2015. I've either smelled this before or someone I knew wore a very similar perfume around me during that time. Very nice

It has a lot of similarity to the original, basically all the notes I like and non of the ones I don't, and with some added florals.

10 min I smell Spun sugar

45 min much lighter now, still there tho and still pleasant

This is a toilette and not a parfum and it fades very quickly. This may be better for spring/ summer when the heat and humidity make fragrances longer longer.

I've reapplied 3 times over 4 hours, 90 minutes since last application and the smell is completely gone.

Overall: 6/10. The smell is wonderful but it just doesnt last and reapplying so many times seems wasteful. I'll re-evaluate this one again in the summer. I would much like to try a parfum version of this.

does the florale by lancome smell like rose?

if so, does it smell like old lady, powdery, musty

I guess I'm just having a hard time imagining like, what the scent is like, what kind of floral is it, there's a lot of diff kinds

also are you certain all the samples you're receiving are not old and are the parfum version of the scent because that can have an effect on the strength and length of the wear.

and can't wait for the tom ford review. I'm super into tom ford products eeee so I'm getting second hand excitement.
