Speaking as one with a degree in the field and a life long fixation on it, the majority of those fucks can't be trusted. You need to know what to look for so that you can sort out the gems from the roughage. I'm a Bachelors in Psych, I can technically apply to be a Counselor, making my opinion that much more "professional" than you just talking to some random guy on the street.

It's all relative, and the details that have never happened are speculative hypothesis at best. We cannot know what the world would be without the history we're saddled with.
The world could have been better off without Columbus' racial blunder for all we know, or maybe even better off if people'd been even crueler in our initial generation (in relation to arguing how Slaves essentially built the US themselves as slaves by proxy for instance).
