Does having SSI mean you couldn't receive covid unemployment checks after losing your job? Genuine question cos idk.
I was sent a covid check, and later on a letter for who to talk to in case I was not sent a check.
Which is why I was confused about her pointing out crows 'fat covid check' i was under the impression everyone either got their checks or their unemployment checks paid out cos covid.
Oh, that's what you meant. My mistake. Well TC and I have separate finances, so his SSI has no bearing on my eligibility for unemployment benefits. However, my job made me ineligible, unfortunately.
You're looking for sympathy about your current situation that's you've put yourself into and getting mad cos other people are pointing out that you just use a small amount of that money to not be in such a situation.
So you've described what you eat, what does BR eat? Does he forage and dumpster dive alongside you? He doesn't seem to have a problem with it?
Yeah I'm a little curious less over what he eats and more over how he feels about Delora eating trash.
Maybe I'm just super anti-trash biased, I know some dumpsters throw out fairly fresh things, but I dunno.
Most grocery stores end up throwing away perfectly fine food because best before dates and scared of lawsuits so I understand why some people dumpster dive buttttttttt
There's also a lot of crap, mold and bacteria in these dumpsters and idk if it's worth it. Better off working at a pizza place and taking home any of the fuck up pizzas/left overs
Depends on the particulars. I've definitely known some people who have gotten sick from it, but there are safer ways to do it in certain places. Like in NYC, many cafes put out their unsold, individually-wrapped pastries and sandwiches in a big garbage bag at the end of every day, usually their own bag without other garbage thrown in. Those are easy pickings, and quite safe by merit of how wasteful it is. lol But that's not something you can get just anywhere.
