I was pointing out that attacking people publicly makes them vindictive, not submissive in the post directly above this one. The post you're quoting here is my follow up to that point.

Not long after this pm Sys and the others started attacking me publicly. Ed has never called me names in chat or on a thread. 

You should read more than half of each of my comments and understand that if I post them back to back, they're usually related.

What was in those pms has already been stated dozens of times by each participant all over this thread and at least 2 others that I can think of, and in chat as well.

Those are no longer private discussions.

It doesn't really matter what they are now.  Your point was about how people tend to respond to being attacked publicly, right?  And when you and Syst had that conversation, it was private.  So your reactions would have been according to those circumstances, regardless of what happened to that conversation later on.  Wouldn't it be more to the point to post something that was public at the time of the conversation?
