I find that children stop lying because eventually it doesn't work. Most children stop because they are taught it's wrong. While others move onto more advanced forms of manipulation,  such as intimidation, seduction or black mailing.

Lying is an affective form of manipulation is some situations. Seduction and blackmail is not suitable in every situation that requires manipulation.

But most times a single lie isn't used. It's an entire web, that easily is tangled and seen through if one aspect of your false reality is disproven.

There are many more effective ways to get what you want without contradicting your own beliefs and fabricating stories. 

Children are notorious for lying, because to them even that form of manipulation is obtainable.  If a mature sociopath has to still use those methods it shows either they simply have no pride or they can't risk their object of intrest and are using a safe dependable method to acquire it.

 

You are soooo full of shit. You might be able to make some of these children believe that bullshit.

The only living human beings that do not lie are those that quite literally can not communicate b/c of disease, injury or anything else.  And the word "living" in that situation is debatable.

I view liars as weak.

Lying just projects your desperation and could be turned against you very easily.
