I understand lying is your bread and butter, but I find it outdated. If you choose to carry yourself around using these transparent, stone age tactics then I suggest you up your game.

 What transparent, stone age tactics are you specifically referring to?

"You can't tell me you never lie or would never lie."

Only if I were desperate.  Lying is sometimes effective if your dealing with idiots, but there are so many drawbacks and repercussions that could be easily discovered that it renders the method as an act of extreme desperation.

Lying and false fabrication.

I find that children stop lying because eventually it doesn't work. Most children stop because they are taught it's wrong. While others move onto more advanced forms of manipulation,  such as intimidation, seduction or black mailing.
