If someone attempts suicide and fails. They didn't really want to die. It is a good way to get mental help tho, if you are depressed.

by Questioning_LifeYes, over my lifetime I have tried to commit suicide. I can tell you this, although it's been years, the last time was not about depression. It was about simply being tired, tired of it all. Fighting rage and always having to hide or pretend is exhausting. I got to the point where I just did not have the energy to continue charade and wanted out.

When I was in my late teens I was at a party with some guys I ran with. There was a girl there that I used to go to school with. She had just found out her boyfriend was fucking around on her. Me and some other people were fucking with her trying to get her fired up. Telling her that he has been cheating on her since day one, and that everyone else knew about it.
The chick that was crying earlier, got all fucked up that night after we left. After the party her and two other girls were walking home and on their way home. The girl ran out in the middle of the road in front of a semi and droped to her knees. I,m not sure if we had anything to do with it. I know we didn't help matters any. She knew what she wanted to do, and she wasn't fucking around. They said her little body exploded

I'm sure you did. I wasn't referring to your case. I was speaking in general. Some people take a shit load of pills thinking it will kill them forsure. Then they wake up in the hospital.
Only once I considered suicide to solve what at that moment seemed to be an otherwise unsolvable issue - I was cornered with mental abuse and decided that if I jumped through the window, the annoyance would stop. Once I reached the conclusion, the previously harmful effect disappeared since I had a way out and I just sat there staring blankly as per usual.
I had dismissed the idea of inflicting harm onto others way before that. When I was eight or so I had to deal with a rather similar conflict and I suddenly got an idea to go to the kitchen, take a knife and use it to slit the oppressor's throat (it would be doable if I did it unexpectedly). However, before fulfilling the idea I skimmed through the outcomes and realised that once such action is carried I would be in a big trouble. After killing one parent I would have to kill another and yet my action would be found out since co-workers would notice their absence. I also realised that I was not capable of paying taxes and I had no intention of leaving the house. However, once again that idea gave me comfort since I had a way out if things would get worse.
Aside from that situation I have never even thought about ending my life because I see suicide as a pointless action since I will die one day anyway. What is more, I barely ever think about my life on any context.
