So you're Jessica Kahawaty now?
I never said the people here are less capable than you. I just think you get off on being in a position of power, which is not surprising when you take into account what kind of forum this is.
If what you say is true, and you are indeed some kind of case-worker/parole officer, you just confirmed my suspicions. If you do work with violent and sexual offenders then you might be underestimating them (or over-estimating yourself?) by equating them with fish in a barrel.
Look out for grooming behaviour in this one.

I try not to under- estimate people. I find that tends to lead to ones downfall.
Of course I enjoy a position of power - what self respecting person does not. I do promise that I only use my position of power for good and never, ever for self gratification. That would be rather unethical there myrealname
As as you suggest IF what I say is true and I am some kind of case-manager/parole officer (was in the past but not enough power to be wielded there for my satisfaction) then that certainly is a position of power. I would have control over the freedom and liberty of our clients. If I were of a mind it would be similar to have a number of pit bulls on a chain...... but I digress.
I am very aware of the danger my clients pose - they are primal, savage, violent and ruthless. Some are high functioning and others not so much..... There are a few that seem to create a vacuum when they enter the room. The sensation that you are truly in the presence of a great predator. Even I can defer to an apex predator, luckily we keep a close eye and a strong 'chain' on those ones. The rest who are not as capable truly do get assistance to minimise their risk. I don't like seeing anything caged.
Grooming behaviour??? Very amusing..... To what end? What is my Motivation? To mess with the minds of people on a forum? That is a totally pointless exercise. If I chose to manipulate and groom people then I have a pool of highly aggressive and proven violent specimens at my disposal. What on earth would I do with a suitably groomed individual from across the seas?!?
That was a strange suggestion.
A romance novel character - hahahaha...
I wish I had that type of talent!!!! Do you have any idea how much money those authors make - despite the drivel they create?
Perhaps I should give that a shot - after all it is my prerogative given I am in the middle of a mid-life crisis (as I have been reliably informed - thanks myrealname )

by myrealnameSo you're a social worker/bureaucrat?
I know your type. I bet you get a little thrill exerting power over the people you're made responsible for. Is that why you're here? Can't get enough of towering over the psychologically damaged?
My role is actually the reverse oh wise judgemental one. I design the support packages to enable the high risk violent and high risk sex offenders to re-join the community with the highest possible chance of their reintegration complete with the lowest possible risk to the community.
We have just implemented sweeping Parole reforms after some unfortunate deaths perpetrated by Parolee's. I really would prefer it if the offenders just learnt to contain and direct their primal urges. It would make my working week less complicated but unbalanced people will be unbalanced people.
"Some unfortunate deaths" ... I think you're only in your job because you are large part sociopathic/narcassistic and enjoy the power that you derive from releasing these "high risk" people back into the community knowing full well they can't be changed and will offfend again. The little thrill you get from having to deal with a "more complicated working week" derives from knowing you were in charge of the system that allows the high risk offenders to do their thing again, and you love seeing the carnage that follows and deep down get off on feeling like you were the orchestrator of it ....
