Okay, here's the real me, but with half my face cut off and the info photoshopped in cause I wasn't holding a piece of paper at the time that I took this
LOL - sorry if it came out harsh, didn't mean that way. It's an ingrained compulsion of mine, trying to make people look their best (part of my trade), and sometimes i speak before i think about how it might come across.
If you're attached to that particular shade, that's ok - but very few women can get away with long hair (esp. straight & long hair) over a certain age. Short & messy (as in shoulder-length or shorter) will carve off 10 years from your face, so will a tad less heavy shadow on the eyelids. (Maybe a bit less magenta / bit more rust hair-colour too. Magenta hair screams "tormented, unstable borderline", even on young people.)

by SyntheticI'd give her an angular chin length straight bob in a dark, warm auburn brown. Less eye shadow and darker, more matte lipstick.
Spot on. Agree about the lipstick too - she's got a really nice mouth, worth to accentuate.
Ok - time for me to 'Fess up.
The copper long hair is a not my current hair style - it is a wig I wore when my hair was growing back.
At the moment it is short, as in about an inch and a half long and platinum blonde. Possibly a tad harsh for my age but as it is so short - growing back still - I though a bold colour would offset the hair cut.
God forbid that I have the 'tormented, unstable borderline' look! .......... That actually is a concerning thought...
I will take on your and Synthetic's advice - that sounds like a really good look - thank you for the suggestions.
And I didn't think about the lipstick - I don't generally wear lipstick but I might consider this now.
I am 38 and do look it - I spend a huge amount of time outside and compete in a pretty harsh sport so the skin cops it. I have plenty of
laugh lines - which I don't actually mind. Although there is that prideful, vain side of me lol.
