Are you really going to say that I imagined all of the old rules lawyering topics on the old site, just so that you don't need to feel wrong?

If you're to take the word of someone, would you rather go with the person who has actual experience with those old debate topics and is otherwise autistically obsessed with this website philosophy as a passion project, or from people who didn't even read the discussions to the point of forgetting that they existed at all?

And you want us to take the word of someone who is a proven reactionary, was "away" from SC for a long time and argues they know everything about the dox policy yet barely remembers what happened to Cad? ~

Honestly though, you could be right that the old consensus, way back, was closer to your version. I believe that consensus has evolved slightly over the years however, as a response to a new demographic and new events. We're obviously at odds here about the policy so it does nothing to whine about what we think it should be like (or that the mods are trying to change it behind the scenes). Better to focus on building a new consensus.

I propose we type out a neutral tldr background that doesn't confuse people and simply let them vote for their preferred choice.

Only if we did that in the first place, imagine what that would do, right?

It would have gotten SC involved, instead of TC just ranting and making people see ghosts in their confusion.

But then TC might have been proven wrong, we can't have that, now can we.

Didn't realize Cain has his hands tied and cant make polls.

Didn't realize that the people pulling the strings for the forum needed the users to help them with their obligations for the forum -

I have no incentive to build a pole- Its' more interesting seeing the mod team make no effort to collect accurate analysis of data (that's really neato!)cool

Maybe stop acting so butthurt and make the pole ; or get back on topic with the mods at least. I know I'm distracting and beautiful ; but this is a little much.

Between 2 friends, one is the head snd the other is the tail.

Between Cain and TC, it's obvious.

So how do you propose we collect that data? What would you do differently?

I have no obligations towards the forum.

I already addressed the Cad thing in the other topic from last night, and I don't see how Cad's related to this in light of the points I made there, it seems more like a distraction.

Also if you're really going to bring up the "away from SC" thing, do you really want to compare time clocks?

Honestly though, you could be right that the old consensus, way back, was closer to your version. I believe that consensus has evolved slightly over the years however, as a response to a new demographic and new events.

You believe? When do you believe it happened?

We're obviously at odds here about the policy so it does nothing to whine about what we think it should be like (or that the mods are trying to change it behind the scenes).

It brought the topic to the forefront instead of us doing shit in the shadows, and it got some people to actually notice it.

From years of past experience with making topics over discussing forum praxis to the point of you outright mocking the time and effort spent behind it, it takes this to get anyone to get off their apathy-chairs and really discuss it.

Even now we have multiple mods and admins not wanting to address the actual issue, it's just us

Better to focus on building a new consensus.

At least you're willing to notice the "new" factor.

I just wanted to say, after these long periods of complete silence, Inq's participation is making me all giddy.
