There's more to lack of morals than being abused as a child. If that's all there was to it, all children who were abused would turn out the way you did and that's obviously not the case.

because, people who dont learn to respect authority and follow rules, end up in prison for doing the same types of things as adults

Why does that require hitting them specifically, as opposed to other forms of discipline? Negative reinforcement related to privileges works as well, for instance. 

How many prisoners do you figure were hit as a kid by their parents versus not? You keep acting like smacking your child is the only way to keep them out of jail, which is just silly. It's an independent factor that can have just as many arguments in relation to hitting them as not hitting them for why they're there.

Not all children who were abused also go through a lack of moral teaching/punishment. Alot of em also get punished for bad things and get taught morals. I was never punished for stealing or hitting other kids for example.

BOH is the typical abused child. Tells himself the abuse for his benefit but can't wait to do the same to his future kids so he can cope with the feeling of powerlessness that his parents gave him with the beatings, thru beating his own kids.

As a kid, I was taught morals and the difference between right and wrong. However, I didn't agree with everything I was taught and only felt bad about certain "wrongdoings." Why do you think that is?
