I liked Delora's take a wisdom and intelligence. Sadism being some indicator of higher intelligence is nothing be a counter argument fabricated right here that absolutely no one online is talking about. The more sadistic someone is, the more dysfunctional they are, and they probably should be put to rest

 Ty tony

He however is in denial, there are life examples and even studies on this with more than enough room to make comparisons. He seems to think that only dumb people are sadistic, yet even Andrew Tate, his idol, is victim of it.

He has since conceded that the animal kingdom "doesn't count". 🤣

What use is intelligence to us that any person has if they are going to be a dick with it?

This is what Wisdom is here to answer for us.

The kindness of a moron is of more POTENTIAL use to the world then any measure of genius of an asshole that wants to use it to destroy. So who cares about that then? I don't.

Talk to some monks, they might be your vibe.

Ya we've kind of gotten lost in other arguments.

The business world tends to embrace and endorse ruthlessness, and with it Sadism tends to sidecar...a lot of our best and brightest who find the most success are not good people. Even status quo shows an emphasis on selfish gains.

This is what i see to be the two positions being argued here.  So, the question at hand: is intelligence more likely to cause an individual to develop a moral mind or wake him up to the possibilities of using his intellect to manipulate his way to success?

Both. Though the higher intelligence doesn't need to fake it and scam their way to the top. Nor is the higher intelligence prone to getting arrested or destroyed in some way, unless falsely accused.

Bruh, your idols tho.

How can you even argue in favor of those you respect in one breath as if strength, then call the things they do dumb in the next breath by conveniently ignoring them when brought up?

Anyway, I find being sadistic and wicked to be a very unwise thing to do. I also understand this in other ways, but I don't feel like writing about it. It largely common sense.

You just give it different names, but it's clear when you're getting off to it you deviant.

Also. When we look at stupidity, it's widely correlated with sin. That being, theft, murder, lies, immorality, and other degenerate low IQ shit.

I see, you only notice the ones dumb enough to get caught, and if you like them enough you appeal to conspiracy.

Sadism isn't a good sense of judgement.

And yet it seems to garner supplementary traits that make for a more direct and ruthless person. Figure what kinds of behaviors a sadistic person might exhibit, then figure how they might run a business if they are smart enough to keep that shit to themselves.

While on it's own it may look bad, it cross-trains into other areas of success. A LOT of people in high ranked positions of power err in that direction.

I didn't say you were wrong, I merely said your response errs in the direction of Wisdom.

Just because I like someone, doesn't mean I idolize them.

Plus I'm not the only one talking about him. I'm just one of few who understands him. Some people learn late.

That's another assumption.

The ones dumb enough to get caught don't think they will be caught in the first place. Not getting caught doesn't mean they're smarter, it's still a dumb risk.

Not doing it in the first place is a better idea.

See you can stay shady and all that, but you don't like the idea of getting caught with your foolery.

Again, serial killers ( most sadistic ) and other criminals have lower IQ's. Facts.

Sadism isn't a good sense of judgement.

Well lack of wisdom what can I say. Good luck.

Okay, so you claim to not idolize Tate.

Would you say he is dumb?

i may have missed your original point, but surely success isn't a great metric for intelligence. Like for eg ants are wildly successful but pretty behind on quantum computing

And in humans, success depends on the context of the day. It's currently tied to money and professional standing, but it used to be the ability to outrun a bison, or kill a lot of people and then convince whoever's left that you can talk to god

Is Quantum Computing your measure of intelligence, and wouldn't someone who is good at that with a more direct, go-getter attitude show more acquisition of not just resources, but also the knowledge itself?

My point began as being over how as species of animal in general show higher intelligence and cunning how there can be an increased proclivity towards Sadism. Following that I applied that model to humans to split it down between Wise and Intelligent, where Wise tries to find comfort in themselves while Intelligence tries to find comfort in some model of control over their environment instead.

The topic then shifted, after Spatial conceded that animals 'don't count', to Spatial claiming that Sadism is only for low IQ criminals. At that point however I was more arguing with him over how Sadism is not a sign of idiocy and failure by demonstrating a model where it works while also comparing it to  his idols  those he claims to look up to, then followed up with how those traits could exhibit themselves when they demonstrate 'a good sense of judgement'.

Somehow he thinks a sadist could not succeed in this world and cannot demonstrate intelligence, which is plain silly. Your average person exhibits some level of Sadism, yet he reserves the label only for the clearly deranged to make his point.

Spatial in particular has this idea that success = goodness while comparing it to business models, so I figured I'd do the same since his point seems contradictory to me when put next to his older rambles. He doesn't seem to recognize that their philanthropy and charity tend to be less than genuine while ignoring the qualities he is otherwise demonizing in this topic.

There are a lot of reasons that an intelligent person might end up not succeeding, like being uncharismatic or sheltered, and plenty of successful people who are only doing as well as they appear to be from rich privilege.

Intelligent people also tend to have more hyperactive minds, making it harder for them to sit still and do nothing when compared to their more complacent peers, so passion and success do mildly correlate.

I do want to hear why FOTS thinks he is not smart, especially after saying that we cant tell how smart people are. See Jim knows who he is, what he is doing, how to do it, what he wants and how to get what he wants. I have always respected him for that, despite his problems.

The TLDR is: I don't find it impressive to win at a game that nobody else is playing but you.  That is, in its essence, what scamming does. You find the vulnerable people, the not so aware, the less intelligent or the old and you take advantage of them.  It doesn't take much to trick them.

I can say from personal experience as I have had, unfortunately, some involvement with jims "business dealings" and I was not very impressed with his social engineering skills nor his articulation—although I will give the latter a pass bc English is not his first language. His scams revolve around a few basic concepts that are quite easy to pick up on yourself.

To call someone intelligent, I think, they should have to exhibit a strong possession of multiple types of intelligences.  Jim doesn't display that. A great example is his complete failure at trading cryptocurrency that he attains from his scams.  He always loses it all and trades with leverage, so he shafts himself. He doesn't learn his lesson, repeating the same mistakes and then hides the extent of his failures like every other bad trader does. He displays a lack of ability to learn and a dominance of emotion in his decision making while trading. I've literally watched him do it before in real time.

But he is self-aware about it. He just does not care. Not giving shit =/= being stupid. And if he does not need to be smart to get money, why should get put in an effort?

"See Jim knows who he is, what he is doing, how to do it, what he wants and how to get what he wants. I have always respected him for that, despite his problems."

If he was not self-aware about it, he would be stupid. I guess we cant know if he is super smart, because he never had to be. But I feel like he is, because he is able to get what he wants, stupid people usually cant. Ofc he is not perfect, but in general. Anyway, this is not like a super serious list, this is my reasoning.
