My mother pulled a Murphy Brown while my father was the stay-at-home parent, and we often go on about how women are the superior sex. Between the two of them she was the one more qualified to "Bring Home The Bacon" as you might go about calling it while he took responsibilities at home as the more Motherly figure, and he did so with pride. 

They moved me to California as to have me be exposed to more races of people at a young age, and through the combination of them instilling Feminist values in me in conjunction with having to explain it to countless misogynists pretty much hardened me into this stance.
