Feminism is a highly varied phenomena consisting of a wide range of socio-political and philosophical movements. I struggle to say being a Feminist or prompting Feminism is to believe in or promote equality of the sexes for three reasons: (1) what equality of the sexes means is unclear and highly debatable, this is apparent when reading the varied feminist literature given both ideological and philosophical feminists cannot agree on its meaning, (2) there are forms of feminism, both ideological and philosophical, that do not believe in equality on the bases of sex or gender, (3) there are philosophies and ideologies that promote equality of the sexes yet are not feminist in nature. 

It can be argued of course that what most reasonable people believe is that feminism is purely about promoting equality between the sexes and that all else belongs to fringe unimpactful groups. However, it must be noted that the majority of people interact with feminism and its broader ideas in highly rhetorical ways via varying forms of media, and underlying those interactions are ideological and philosophical baggage. The latter argument suggests that the entire intellectual history of feminism is null and void, having no impact on the beliefs of the general population surrounding the very ideas those varied schools and movements developed. Both seem highly unlikely given after studying feminism broadly, even just a bit, will allow you to point out where different beliefs are derived from in general conversation about the topic 

It's hard to define the actual golden thread that binds all feminism and it may be argued that there isn't one in actuality. To me feminism generally seems to be a set of philosophical and ideological movements that emphasize sex and gender in various ways. What they emphasize about sex and gender socially, politically, ontically, and epistemically varies substantially.

Feminism doesn't need men nor should it center men. You identify the patriarchy as being the reason women are oppressed and yet you include your oppressors in your movement? Is ridiculous is it not? We water down the movement in order to center misogynistic men who don't care about women's issues and are the cause of women's issues.

"Feminism is the equality of the sexes" it should not be. Men subject other men to the toxic standard for male behavior. If they are they are the oppressor why would they want to be apart of a movement that seeks to unseat them? Why would the billionaire want to be on the same level as those in poverty? They would not benefit from losing their power and privilege. They own land and wealth and political power, why would they give that up to be equals? Men should be killed. Starting with those that long for the days they could marry a child or hit a woman for speaking out of turn. 

In short men do not deserve the chance, the empathy or anything else. They deserve only to be lined up against the wall.
