He'd be selling to a niche audience he likely already has, there's very little advantage in this stunt he's doing, and the simpler answer is that he's not pulling an Andy Kaufman once you see how his girlfriend is responding to it. He wants to try to use the platform of 'honesty' to normalize these things.

If anything attention should be drummed up against this dude to see how much of a response against it could surface, as judging from the comments in support of him there's a crowd of likeminded individuals who need to be addressed over whatever they're getting out of this as an outlet for their own needs.

At this point I'm more likely to accuse you of feeling afraid of the risk of feeling like you've been duped, opting for the safer perspective as to not have to risk feeling like you were wrong unless it's really that bad. For a min I thought this was provocative, interesting performance art lol. Realizing its real tho… total scorched earth shit. Full disclosure I did skim through it, but that sustained level of pas-ag hostility is super weird. Wtf do either of them get out of that relationship? It’s like emotional Chinese water torture

Not really. If you look for it you'll see it's been edited to seem more realistic. The dual cameras makes it easy for seamless editing where need be. The video itself was edited several times over, switching back and forth, it's not a simple interview, there's more work put into it.

The video I'd argue can be split into two parts based on her response towards it, and it's around 18 minutes in where he changes his approach from her actually starting to break down more.
What I really don't understand is how she puts up with that level of disrespect?
That's the part I feel like I actually kind of understand, but that doesn't make it any less tragic. It's over what degree of understanding she has for his shortcomings that he cannot look at that has her put up with it out of sympathy and self-blame.
She doesn't want to think about it and is being made to associate those who'd bring it up with discomfort, such as her friends trying to help her and the video being made at all. She feels shame over it and he reinforces that, allowing her to become further alienated and sucked into it. They also have established "bandage zones" for lack of a better name, namely their cat and gaming from the looks of it, and she clearly has feelings for him over seeing how he's acting as out of his control.
From experience, when undergoing a traumatic situation the hardest part is admitting to weakness, which consequently and counterproductively can have them end up putting up with more of it and then presuming "there must be something to it if I'm still here". By blaming yourself you give yourself the perception of self-control that much more than having to accept that your autonomy was not there for you when you needed it.
It's akin to Stockholm Syndrome, they can even be made to defend their assailants if given enough time. The video I link in here of them from a year and a half ago shows her considerably more composed, even with him berating her in the same style like 7 minutes into it.
Her eyes show her saying a lot more than her mouth is, she's been conditioned to not interrupt him once he gets going. He also repeatedly reinforces at her that she's being hysterical, psychotic, selfish, controlling, a total bitch, and gives her little room to actually process it beyond internalizing it and preferring to placate him than talk to someone who otherwise can't hear her.
When you feel like you can't change them, some opt to change themselves instead, especially if prodded by guilt.

That's damage control, something in those two spots would have embarrassed him and embarrassing himself was not the goal here in spite of how he should be embarrassed by a video like this.

You aren't watching their faces and tones at all then, nor are you allowing for outside context that further fleshes out the likely reality of this.

That part was indeed for the camera, and to feel like he's peacocking for his own audience. He was much more aware of the camera and prepared for it than she was, I'll give you that, he is at points putting on a performance for the camera, but that performance isn't over him playing a bit character ala Kaufman, it's over him trying to compensate over needing to present like he's winning.
He even tried to do the 'alpha stare' thing, the scene isn't scripted so much as he's attempting to do things like that with a purpose in mind in advance.

Inappropriate laughter can actually mean a lot of things, the only aspect when someone is stressing out that it has in common is the potential for tension release.

He is otherwise legitimately triggering, are you saying he shouldn't be? I'd personally rather be in touch with my emotions in a way that allows me to freely express them than have to worry about how it's some kind of display of weakness, and frankly that sort of behavior helps with less bottling, a problem that can outright decrease lifespans.
