I've been watching a minimum of 10 vids every single day for over 2 months, including Slavic history, WWII, History of the Romanov Dynasty, whatever I can find that looks reasonably well made and loosely or not so loosely related to the war and its causes. I watch pro-Ruzzian sources on occasion, to try to get my head around the structure of their insanity.

When I have more time, I'll be checking out some books on the subject. As I've already said, I find it fascinating.

Oh, and I'm subb'd to a number of *actual soldiers* who are on the *actual front lines* u silly clueless rebel.

They're still fighting. Duh.

This guy is not a soldier, but his channel is highly recommended by my favourite Ukrainian soldiers.

Briton Prisoner in Ukraine told execution will go ahead

"A British man sentenced to death by Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) court for fighting in Ukraine has been told the execution will be carried out, his family say.
Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner were sentenced by a court which is not internationally recognised, in the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
Mr Aslin told his family his captors said there had been no attempt by UK officials to negotiate on his behalf.

That guy is a legit member of the Ukraine National Guard, btw. He's been living there for quite some time, and is married to a Ukrainian lady.

The dumb dumbs who put him on trial aren't even consistent with the laws they're inventing.

Consistency would require that they put every citizen of Ukraine on trial for fighting back.

Just duh.

It's not a win until the rest of the world recognizes it as such.

This is a puppet court ruled by inconsistent psychos.

They're trying to execute him as a foreign 'mercenary' btw. (He's not foreign. He's a legit Ukrainian citizen.)

Not for killing civilians, or war crimes.

I can't see the invasion ever being a win for Putin. He overplayed his hand. Putin, the West, and the world, drastically underestimated the Ukrainians. No one thought they would/could fight like this. And, the Ukrainians have forced the West's hand by showing what it means to actually fight for freedom.

They're literally David against Goliath and they're fucking resolved to die for their freedom. The Russian soldiers, many of whom are criminals, are mostly demoralized and don't want this war now. BUT Russia has the firepower so it's up to the west who have been calculating cowards, imo. The cracks in the armour are starting to show. I wonder what will happen if Russia cuts off all oil/gas to Europe. 

I personally think it's more impt to get Ukraine in the EU over getting Finland and Sweden into NATO. Finland at least had the courage to fight Russia (and they won) but Sweden has benefited from neutrality for millenia so they should own it, even though it's become a little risky for them now.

I think it will drag on for a decade at least.
