Oh? Yeah? I think I said before I was throwing my vote in the trash anyways. What's with this attitude?

I'm just trying to get you to answer why you'd vote when it amounts to absolutely nothing in your case. It's costs without gains, unless you were doing it purely as lip service so that people'd leave you alone after you'd say "yes", as if you felt pressured by vote shamers to do something, even if that something is just as effective as nothing.

Unless shown otherwise, it seems like you were peer pressured, then threw your vote into the garbage as a form of spite against the entire process.

Oh? Weird.

It is weird.

Yeah this whole thing you made up is really weird

I mean why else would you vote for Green Party when you yourself said that Biden's California victory was in the bag?

I think imma go with your peer pressured story, that's funny af.

Who do you think I am? PM me

I wouldn't PM anything classified on this site. It's just a hunch anyway.

As for Alena. She wasn't all that thrilled to vote for either side. She is Mexican and lives in the far west. Apparently it's easier for the mainstream to control the masses there so for Alena, being pro Trump would be of great inconvenience.

One thing about Biden. He isn't popular at all. I've read cases where people claim to regret voting for him. When his supporters come around to comparing his policies to Trump's ( if ever ) they'll most likely brush it off and keep going forward in their comfort zone of pride and hate.

I wouldn't be pro trump even if the media favored him. He's not the guy I would be voting for in the same way biden isn't the guy I voted for- none of these people should be in power holy fuck.

I don't know about your friends and family but I know your girl Sugar hates Trump.

I think you were programmed to hate Trump, why do you hate him or think he shouldn't be in power ?

Because he isn't for the working class, he was a businessman first, one that had more things fail than anything, scams essentially and the wording he used through out was wrong. The promise to unmake that Obama had donw as a low whistle to attention that he also believed he was the candidate to put back a white man in office. He wasn't someone I trusted to be in power before he was elected. I think the fact that everyone underestimated helped him even more. The people were tired of the same old politicians and wanted someone that represented them but the problem was that trump had been given everything, he's never really worked for much as much as he's coasted on fame and family. That famous slip up of 'a small loan of a million dollars' should have tipped off that he didn't understand the working class.

And then he nominated Gorsuch a guy with a history of being anti worker, temporary estate tax repeal- totes for the farms guys, draining the swamp turned into allowing more people with corporate interests to hold positions, his absolute lack of empathy the amount of time he spent out of office more, i absolutely love the tweets and that's something I'm going to miss. The great thing about his presidency was that people were opening up to see the absolute fake/ woke shit that was going on- of each party and how incredibly out of touch they are.

His handling of the coronavirus was also an absolute shitshow

Out of a population of 350 million people, I think 200,000 pretty good.

i've noticed a certain smug elitism amongst those who appellate themselves with the label of "lefties", they seem to be rather supercilious whenever the topic shifts towards trump voters who voted for him on the basis of his touted worker friendly policies (which he didn't act on, to be sure), that reason has seldom, if ever, been registered by them whenever the topic of the 2016 election has come about, instead the same old mockery of the average trump supporter has pervaded every discussion "they did not even go to college!", "they're extremely prone to propaganda! they can't think for themselves" and shamelessly promote a corrupt war mongerer like hillary clinton who has made weapons deals worth billions of dollars with saudi arabia and qatar, excusing her every step of the way by making a consistent use of the "russian election manipulation" line

i have no problem with leftists, in fact my favourite political commentator is kyle kulinski, my political compass test came back showing me as a left wing libertarian, in fact actual leftists i've talked to have been more reasonable than many on the right wing have, but this is a distinct attitude amongst the left wing sc users that i've noticed

It's really sad when you see this in irl, people are so afraid to stand out and be unique. It is a form of socialistic tribalism. OMG someone may have a differing opinion. I see this happening in science with the peer review system. If you are outside of the elitist cliquey group with differing ideas, the gatekeepers reject you. Science is doomed if this continues. New and outrageous ideas should be encouraged. Science by consensus is ridiculous.

I mean, who wants to be like everyone else? how fucking boring.

People call me a liberal maybe I am. IDK. I hate the LGBTQ and trans rights movement BS. I don't love immigration but I just accept it's inevitable. I think social programs are good to a degree as they end up being less costly and create more competition, but I'm a capitalist. I think the capitalist system needs a reset so more people can actually compete as entrepreneurs and not be shoved out by corporate monopolies like Amazon and Walmart who make shit in China and don't pay taxes. Is that liberal, idk? My biggest political concern is addressing climate change and it seems like the left is the only side that takes it seriously.

I don't think the left takes it serious at all.

Virtue signaling and using it politically obscures real solutions to the problem and the science as a whole, they've completely   botched the topic and are just as responsible for what is to come as those on the right who flat out deny it.
