If your state voted majority blue and you were willing to throw your vote in the trash, why grab a vote to throw into said trash in the first place instead of buying ice cream or something?

I'm just trying to get you to answer why you'd vote when it amounts to absolutely nothing in your case. It's costs without gains, unless you were doing it purely as lip service so that people'd leave you alone after you'd say "yes", as if you felt pressured by vote shamers to do something, even if that something is just as effective as nothing.
