That post looks more like you're interested in how, when and why people use their book smarts than who's a Swede.

I thought MissC was Canadian?

I'm definitely interested in who's a Swede. The conversation evolved from first showing that Inquirer has sockpuppets to who is a Swede on SC to Inquirer demanding for evidence, and then it became about Inquirer essentially being unable to provide evidence himself. It's a pretty long topic, so the summary might be somewhat confusing without having read at least parts of the actual discussion.

MissC Canadian? If she posted her vocaroo here, we could verify.

Yeah, Berserk probably inspired that painting I tried to describe in my OP. The way those scenes are depicted in Berserk is out of this world. It's like the hero is constantly at the brink of breaking down, but somehow he always manages to survive. Yet, his survival doesn't feel out of place. It's a masterpiece.

I'd say it's closer to his breaking down is how he survives.

Also as a side note these were seemingly everywhere:

Found some answers.

If you look closely, you can make out a peace sign within the face of the skull ~ conveying a message of peace in the face of death. "Being reminded of death may make visible peace," said Bon on the meaning behind the mouse skull.

The idea came to him when he was ordained as a monk nearly 10 years ago. He had the realization that peace is possible if we learn to accept that we are all going to die one day, so there is no need to harm others. Since then, he has spread the Mickey Mouse skull around the world - from Thailand to Laos and Denmark to Norway - with no plans of stopping anytime soon.

Neat

What? lol I love the ballet. Glorious and super unnatural human movement is a beautiful thing.

I love watching people push themselves to the limits of human ability.

What's wrong with that?

I agree, it isn't 'true' art to me if it isn't at least a little masochistic. Also dance is indeed a beautiful form of art, one that captures motion in a temporary way instead of attempting to craft something more 'permanent'.

I guess having to do ballet, dance, and martial training as part of my curriculum as a kid forced me to appreciate it more though.

If you say so lol. I've never understood what is so deep, insightful, or beautiful about ballet, similarly to how I don't understand modern art. Every single person I've met who likes ballet (or modern art) has been either Russian or a bit fucked up in the head -- or both.

But maybe I'm just an ignorant peasant.
