Fixed it.

Timestamps don't work for Youtube embeds on here, but they do work for links.

It's more like learning Latin in that it's an outdated language but shows it's roots within what it's become. There's beauty in learning the older art forms, and understanding that can follow through seeing it's existential tethers.

I'd otherwise compare it to what Jazz music has become in the modern age.

Ok yeah, it's a bit like learning Latin. Still, only weirdos enjoy Latin.

As a side note, I think we should make Latin the official scientific language. Nobody speaks Latin natively, so nobody gets an advantage

I agree, and it kinda already is. A lot of it is still used for medical and scientific terms, and if the common man understood it they'd have a much better grasp of language overall.

Wouldn't suffering, as a means to an end, be worth it as long as the goal is worthwhile? Perhaps I'm generalizing and watering down your idea of 'suffering' here too much, but I'd almost flip it around: A lot of things would lose their meaning if we stripped them of the sweat and pain involved.

Pleasure to see you here under your main. What's your taste in art, Inquirer? I bet you liked pinocchio.

From what I can tell, he sees art through Real Time Strategy games and First Person Narratives that feature either a relatable or empty main character (like Bioshock). His focus otherwise tends to teeter towards both how much they've focused on setting and how believeable all the elements in it are, which following has him enjoy it as more of a matter of components than just the overall big picture. Analysis is where his appreciation for art comes from, but he worries that said analysis might jar his sense of disbelief.

He doesn't want to be jarred from immersion, as becoming distracted from it even long enough to be a critic of it's directors, art design, or script writing has him remember that it otherwise "isn't real". It's arguably escapist goals through becoming one with the medium. Beyond that he seems to enjoy historical and cultural research and anecdotes, but that joy comes from the same sense of immersion he's looking for in fantasy; If he found God, he'd be less pleased with this world.

What constitutes as "believeable" to him however... is itself sometimes hard for me to believe.
