The experiment elicited a scathing decision by Maryland’s highest court which compared the use of children in non-therapeutic medical experiments to the use of "canaries in the mines"

...that is somewhat reminiscent of our med practices on children as is.

The Lead Paint Study situation sounds like either an oversight or a horrendous choice, but that doesn't necessarily reflect on the rest of that place's work, simply their negligence in this one area.

 oh and another one https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/henrietta-lackss-family-wants-compensation-for-her-cells/2017/02/14/816481ba-f302-11e6-b9c9-e83fce42fb61_story.html

...did you just link me something relevant to the 1950s?

yes because the cells are still used and experimented on to this day

I mean yeah, programs meant to house special needs children can have facilities set up like that.

It sounds similar to a mental ward, but one that aimed to utilize unconventional teaching practices to try to get them to catch up to others that are otherwise learning more conventionally.

The third party company factor makes a lot of sense actually, they are likely utilizing these tests for the future of developing programs to help combat the struggles of those at the deep ends of mental abnormality.

my brother went to the same place, and he started beating himself up and having seizure like episodes. my mom said they were experimenting on us. i know this is true, my friend elijah cotton at that time was given a medication that made him always sad, and he was a different person, and after he changed they mad him go to a different group. sometimes some kids in our group would all show the same change, and they would be separated, but we rarely ever had new people introduced to our group

so if your brother went to the same place, they weren't experimenting on you because of your "incredibly high iq pattern recognition" from a test you were given................which is what you kept saying was the reason. so, I was kind of right here with my first post

You've linked me a lead paint oversight, them being cheap about compensating a case from 70 years ago, and a story about them okaying another group in Guatemala to do things on their own... as reason to see where you were experimented on as a "bad place"?

I'm figuring that for how long they've been around that they've likely done more good than harm. Even the 1950s case did this for History:

The cells were taken from the 31-year-old from Turners Station, Md., who had an aggressive form of cervical cancer in 1951 They were the first cells to live outside the body in a glass tube. They were dubbed the HeLa cells and have become the most widely used human cells that exist in scientific research.
Again, your case is unfortunate, but it is as it is because of what they are stuck challenging themselves to handle. You and your peers were "experimented on", but that only happened from there already being no solution to help you otherwise.

They were trying everything until something might work, using the puzzles to measure changes in your ability for testing your reactions to meds and other tests.

The shapes tests were just meant to measure you for changes, since they likely couldn't use more conventional tests otherwise.

They're in mental wards too, this isn't unusual.

the reason I gave might not have been the primary reason either, but it definitely doesn't seem to be related to having a high iq. It seems the primary reason you were experimented on is because you are part of a military family. were your grandparents on your mother's side in the military / part of a military family? I'm not as skeptical as Turncoat, but were there any neurotypical people being experimented on or did everyone have mental disabilities?

they were hurting us for their own gain, they had to have a certain amount of self violent kids taught not to hit themselves, which is why they taught my brother to be self violent so they could teach him to not hit himself for funding. idk wtf they did to him, but he was less verbal after and they ruined his life. also when they experimented on my mom, despite the medication she was on having bad side effects, they would not let her come off it and straight up forced her to continue, and dont even get me started on what they did to make her agree to the experiment in the first place. they still call my grandmother sometimes, and ask to experiment on her

nope, in fact most of my classmates had no military affiliations, also at that time my dad worked for the cia and airforce but it was the cia that coaxed him to bring me and my brother to johns hopkins and leave hawaii
