Like I said, I enjoyed philosophy once I studied it properly, in a classroom. It was much easier than pulling teeth, as it were.

So shimmer, what exactly is it that you were born with that allows you to be so 'bored' with learning, and yet so independently wealthy that you have so much time for trolling the internet while the rest of us have had to study to prepare for and participate in the world of work?

People who actually survive a few philosophy courses have to have a strong sense of self and self worth to deal with the hairsplitting, tho. It can be quite soul crushing to have one's guiding principles pulled apart in such a manner. For the emotionally unaware, philosophy debates can feel like a personal attack.

Philosophy texts, like statistics are Sleeping Pills. No more, no less. Boring as hell. Neither of which need to be taught.
