lol
Systematic: "A human life is as shapeless as water, it can really be put to an infinite number of uses, just flushing it down the drain seems pointless."
Reaper: "Pointless? The more people that exist, the more resources are required to keep them alive and the more the planet is being destroyed in the process."
So... why not transform them into murderous environmentalists? Win-win.
Systematic: "I guess if we were killing off our future scientists, innovators, workers, philosophers back in past times to keep resource use to a minimum, we'd be in a better place right?"
You might be onto something. It's those people that lead us to where we are now.
Reaper: "Considering I'm also human, explain to me how my life is a valuable resource to you..."
Entertainment?
Reaper: "You have no idea what real power feels like until have that kind of control."
I dunno, making people into pawns sounds more like real power to me.
Systematic: "Yes, but if we're talking in a general sense, like this thread was before, it'd set humanity back. It's impractical."
Rather strange talk for someone who hungers for an apocalypse survival scenario, considering that said apocalypse is wish fulfillment for the very thing you're calling impractical.
Reaper: "My interest in murder is no different than, say, a fisherman's interest in fishing. We just wanna catch different things for different reasons."
What do you use for bait?
It is more accurate to call the universe binary, not dualistic. I know it's easy for anyone to forget that while it is a very binary reality, the scale is of utmost importance. People aren't in and of themselves a single-digit thing. They aren't a 1 or 0... They are made up of pattern upon pattern upon pattern of 1's and 0's. While the base level of existence might be rather simple, the fractal expression of reality and matters of scale don't cut so cleanly in half. Even symmetry isn't exactly like that, nor holography.
"I never claimed it was a need, nor did I say I feel compelled to do it. So, don't put my words in my mouth."
But yet, have sat on forums for almost a decade fantasizing, planning and wishing you could do it? You had 2 blogs dedicated to these fantasies, its an obsession at the very least.
"It's an interest, a desire, unlike the need you felt to stalk some bitch who rejected you."
I stalked and yes I felt the need to. But, see the difference here is that I didnt/haven't let the infatuation swallow my personality, values and interests even while it was active. Meanwhile murder has been your obsession and all you fantasized about for decades.
"My interest in murder is no different than, say, a fisherman's interest in fishing."
I've been fishing and honestly I can tell you the thrill of it doesn't come from some false sense of power and control.
"We just wanna catch different things for different reasons."
You're right, one's for recreation and the other is to fill some insecure, missing sense of control.
Also bitch, way to be a sore loser, not dispute any of my points but yet make hypocritical insults XD
"So... why not transform them into murderous environmentalists? Win-win."
Sounds like a decent plot line for a would be movie.
"Rather strange talk for someone who hungers for an apocalypse survival scenario, considering that said apocalypse is wish fulfillment for the very thing you're calling impractical."
I know : /
If it helps. A good part of me only wants that level of impracticality/chaos to ensue so I can set order back up.
