Like hell I would still be lying there for starters....
There is no heaven or hell...and quite frankly I would rather not Serve, nor rule over a bunch of assholes , rather just kill them and enjoy my peace and quiet. 
Easier just to bail on the whole plot and float about elsewhere....meh

You are lying in the corner of a bus stop. It is windy and cold, but the wind shield keeps you just warm enough. These two junkies come by and they want to use the bus stop. They start kicking you, and won't give you the chance to get up, they push you with their feet, until you roll out onto the street.
At which point the red eye comes by and runs you over. You are dead.
