Were we wrong? I saw no proof. Sometimes what you see is what you get and sometimes it's not. Usually the latter in a place like this. I don't see what's so unreasonable about suspecting that of being the case here, as it has been so many times before.

The fact that everyone knows the story so well and that every angle of it has been poked at, means that when the topic is drudged up again, the drudging itself becomes the focus instead of the story. It's fun and interesting to watch things unfold, when someone thinks they can use this to hurt him. Even if the story is old and worn, this person and their attempts are shiny new and waiting to be dissected.
It was forever ago about PF drama, it kind of all runs together from how irrelevant it once felt. Do you expect me to remember when your attempt at controlling whispers about PF members were too?
I doubt any of us outside of PF have strong memories on it, hence why my retyping it made it like new now that you're relevant.
