Question about prison for any ex-convicts.

They're the kind of shows you watch when you're on a long-haul flight and you've already watched the decent movies they're showing.

Do they actually keep pedophiles away from the prison population where you're from? In my "home country" the pedophiles were put in with the general population unless their crimes were considered particularly atrocious.

That form of hazing sounds pretty funny, but I'm a bit of a sadist...

I've heard a myth that you can get by in prison if you volunteer for kitchen duties, and then smuggle out methylated spirits. Apparently you can then drain the meths through slices of bread for drinking purposes. Anyone know if that's true? I wouldn't have thought that prisons would keep methylated spirits in the kitchens...

Also, do we have any women who've been incarcerated in a female penitentiary here?

According to this website: http://www.convictsandcops.com/parole.htm

"The shortest amount of time a person can be on parole is one year. The longest amount of time is life and the average is three years."

I've never heard of someone being on parole for nine years either, but I do know people who've been on parole for three-four years (in Australasia and the UK). Is Whoameye from California?

When I was in high school they told us that people in Sweden were such alcoholics that they would cut the top off of a loaf of bread and pour antifreeze on it. After it filtered down thru the whole loaf they would eat the top couple of inches because that's where the drinkable alcohol would be. Making pruno would be a lot easier.

If you were sent to prison and then released, you are in the latter part of the process referred to as parole. How long you will be on parole depends on your original sentence and the judge’s orders. The time of parole cannot exceed the length of sentence ordered by the judge. For example, if you were sentenced to ten years in prison, and release after three years, the length of your parole will be the balance of your seven years. If you were paroled after receiving a life sentence, then you will be on parole for the rest of your life. If you violate any conditions of your parole, then your parole can be revoked.

My 10 years I received of supervised parole was part of my initial court order that reduced my prison time to ten years. If I were to fuck up anytime during my parole I could have to go back. It varies from state to state.

Not sure where you're from, but yeah, that's pretty much what happens where I live. The drugs enter the prisons via the COs. The public occasionally finds out and there's a bit of hysteria about it before it all dies down again.

When you say all new inmates will be tested to find out what kind of men they are, what do you mean? How does the testing take place?

When I say tested. Its like if you are new in school. The other kids will try and determine what kind of personality you have. Are you submissive are you gay are you cocky. ect.... All new inmates are tested similar to what we do the new co's. Because in reality it is someone new moving into our home.

The length of prison time that would add up to has to mean that you were in there on a murder charge. I don't see how assault only would get you such a lengthy sentence, unless the attack was serious enough to warrant a lengthier sentence I suppose.

Were you charged with second degree murder or manslaughter by any chance?
