i've massacred entire ant colonies. i was their destroyer. the last thing hundreds of not thoughts ever saw. some of them would try to grab their babies as they ran away. i squashed them too 

sometims when id go fishing my dad would try to make my put a worm on a hook but the worm would clench up its muscles and i could imagine the worm's pain enough where i decided that stabbing it with clenched muscles is not the easy way to do things. so i put it on the ground, and split it inhalf with a sharp rock. once you can't feel their muscles spasming in your fingers, it's a lot easier to finish the job 

Now adays if i go fishing, i just don't put any bait on the line at all. that way i can read my book with no interruptions

i'm not sure i'd want to. i don't enjoy watching things suffer. i never understood the psychopath's urge to make something else suffer. who cares? why does 1 individual feel larger because they can manipulate 1 other individual? it's petty

If you happen to find an ant colony, next to the fire you just started in the local wooded area, right under an old motherboard that had been burred in the ground from years of rain, shake off all the ants in the fire. They make the most awesome popping sounds. Like popcorn!

They're bugs. They'll infest your home, make legions of babies, and bite/sting those in their path if given the means, along with individual inconveniences (eating clothes, gathering crumbs, building webs, etc). If they were our scale they'd take advantage of that, so I'd say size is more of a convenience for us than a motivation for power.

That and some bugs like wasps are... better fought from far away.
