Attention Sociopaths - Yes, you can feel empathy

Ofcourse sociopaths don't feel empathy as often as the average person, they have it turned off by default and can control when they want to feel it.

Sociopaths may not have a heightened sense of empathy, but they can obviously experience it. The possibility that they have heightened sense of empathy was my own theory of how to explain why they have developed the ability to shut it off and it is just that, a theory. But if you're going to debate it, you need to do a better job then simply saying "no, you're wrong" explain why I'm wrong.

In any case it doesn't negate the fact that sociopaths do feel the emotion of others, as you've continually implied they do not. (Should I pull up old posts for you?) Infact your entire persona on this forum has been nothing more then you trying to imitate a sociopath, what you think they are. Because you want so desperately to have some justification for how badly you've ruined your own life. Because you don't have the intestinal fortitude to admit you're a failure because you've chosen to be one.

Sensitivity has nothing to do with it. Moronic people are simply annoying. Why ask questions that you could easily find the answers to yourself with a little bit of looking? I'll give you the answer: You're a lazy fuck.

A little boring, but still interesting.

It's too bad we don't see her get murdered I wonder what they did to her before they started the mutilation part.

I remembered those videos because I've seen a shit ton of them on BestGore. Usually I don't save any because other people have access to my PC, imagine their reaction if they stumbled upon those. As a matter of fact I would love to see how they'd react.

I know that a long time a go there was a Night of the Gore on cable TV (can't remember the channel) and they showed very gorish/weird short movies. So I taped it and I showed it to friends: one vomited , one almost fainted. I don't know why but I found it funny and enjoyable that they were so shocked.

I had the same thought when I first watched it.  It's only the aftermath.  I don't care much for the mutilation of corpses unless it is significant.  Simply cutting at an ear is boring.  It's like poking at an ant hill and having no pissed off ants emerge.

I love people's reactions to things like that.  I can't empathize with it at all.  Instead I feel amusement at how easily shocked they are.  I've shown some beheading videos to my closest friend.  She refuses to watch more.  She couldn't handle it. My "friends" (meat puppets) won't even try.  Do you often find yourself really enjoying people's extreme reactions to things that they find themselves or that you present to them?  I believe that's one of the reasons why I enjoy murder and torture so much.

Empathy is mostly a subconscious process that takes place in the older less evolved brain that deals with instantaneous responses (i.e. emotions such as fear) there is another more recently evolved part of us known as the pre-frontal cortex that deals with reason, logic and making sense of the signals sent by the less evolved parts. So basically we have two streams of thought reactionary instincts or emotions and logical processing.

Empathy is experienced subconsciously in most people and is often referred to as "intuition". It is the ability to see someones non-verbal communication patterns and intuit what they are feeling and then forwarded to the mirror neuron system which runs a similuation in your head like "I wonder what this feels like" so you feel it subjectively. (all of this happening in fractions of a second)

Again this is all subconscious.

Sympathy is the conscious acknowledgement of someone elses suffering. You do not have to internalize the emotions as you would in empathy to show sympathy. In fact this is often the case when someone seems insincere when offering their sympathy as you can read on their faces that the sentiment is not genuine.

I wouldn't say often but as I said I do it from time to time. I guess that's also the reason why certain killers pose their victim for maximum shock value, like Mary Kelly one of Jack the Ripper's victims.

I agree.  I think the shock value is a huge motivating factor for many of the more "grotesque" serial killer murder scenes.

I got the answer without looking it up. You are just sensitive, and you lack self control. You felt as if you were being attacked last night. And you did what any sensitive person would do. You lashed out like a child and ran off to your room and slamed the door.

I got the answer to my question because I have self control and patience.

You're not a psychopath, Daddy. You never have been. So, trying to prove yourself here won't make an ounce of difference.

You're just an emotional idiot who thinks he's a psychopath.

Maybe if you wish hard enough on a falling star you might become one if you're real lucky.

Ladies and gents, this is the best example of "projecting" you're ever likely to encounter with your time on the Internet

Baiting for a reaction. Good try...
