It would be simple enough to check, since they only instructed the prisoner group (the psychopaths) to empathize with what they were being shown (the hands) it could be tried by anybody. 

Just sit through an emotional video and try to empathize with the person in the video.

Do you feel a difference?

I tried with a beheading video and even though I thought that it must suck to die like this, I still didn't care about the victim and I wasn't feeling emotional at all and I was, as ever, fascinated by the brutality associated with decapitating someone.

Was the video of a drug lord, cutting of his girlfriends head with what looked like a pocket knife. For snitching ?

If so I had the same reaction you did.

Oh man, this reminds me of an experiment I participated in during college for extra credit:

They set up some sensors onto my neck, multiple on my head, parts of my chest, and parts of my arms to measure heart beat, body response, and brain activity. They had me answer the expected 1 - 10 rating questionnaire, then proceeded to show me images with sounds and clips.

They began pleasantly, showing green flowery meadows, fluffy animals, stuff like that. Afterwards, they jarringly switched to corpses, accidents, mutilations, things of that nature that seemed to theme around a fair amount of red. When they shut it off, they seemed confused and checked the machine to see if it'd been working properly. They then briefly repeated the test, shutting it off prematurely.

They asked me if I felt anything when watching those images and clips. "Sort of bored, and a little hungry. I haven't eaten anything today." They let me leave and didn't have me continue the latter half of the experiment. I didn't really think anything about it until a later time that I remembered it while thinking about other things.

I have looked all over the internet for the video I was describeing. Its like it vanished. It was the best beheading I have ever seen. Try and look up drug cartel girlfriend beheading. I cant find it. You will like it. If you are anything like me

Now I'm not sure I've seen it or not but it sounds familiar. I suppose you've already tried BestGore.com. Often BestGore sources those videos from sites against narco trafficante atrocities maybe you'll be more lucky on such a site.

Awsome. I hope you have it. I think it would be a educational film for some of those who think they may or may not be a sociopath.
