"Now for the 'emulation' part. You mentioned method acting and affective memory earlier in the thread but that's not the end-all,be-all of acting. Different actors use different methods and not every actor has to 'feel' or 'remember' an emotion to fake it."

Indeed. Closest to method acting I can even do is gathering how others think and feel, then proceeding to cherry pick parts of everyone I know to craft a future role's display. If I didn't take the time to delve into their heads, the mimicry would appear too obvious. I can only use myself so far for acting out a role, while the lives of others gives me a far wider assortment of options.

"There is such a thing as natural born actors, people who can act without formal training."

Many of them have disorders actually. Histrionics, Narcissists, HSPs, anything where their natural differences give them an advantage for how they hold themselves, stage presence, the increased likelihood of trying to blend in (meaning they study how others act more in depth than someone who feels no need to blend), the differences one might have in natural courage and thought patterns, anything someone may be cast for that from their life is a natural advantage others might lack.
