"Lies can break, truth can't."

Truth is relative, and as a result, it can break.

The only difference between truth and lies is that, with a lie, you know in advance that you're full of shit. Truth can be swept away from you when you are confronted with a superior truth.

If your truth gets beaten by a superior truth, it wasn't the truth to begin with.

So logically, you should let go of your false truth and accept the new one.

Until you encounter something that can beat it.

Also there is most likely a difference between truth and facts.

A lie that's not a truth is different from a lie that's not a fact.

You made it personal when you called her naive. I was only following your cues. You continue by trying to insult me in return.

I wonder how you see me as ignorant.

So what constitutes a truth then, if there even is a "the truth" at all?

Truth to me simply means you believe it. When talking about it, there's no act, it's what you genuinely believe. Truth to me is "Personal Truth", since I don't think there's really any Universal Truths we as people will ever find, instead substituting that with truths enough people simply agree upon.

Nah, it's not personal.

She called me naive because she thinks I'm dumb.  Either that or she's mad that I called her a bitch before.

Trust is both a logical and an emo act. Logically, it's where you've assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating expected utility based on performance data, and concluded that the person in question will behave in the predicted manner. Emotionally, it's where you expose your vulnerability to others and believing they will not take advantage of your openness.

In practice, trust is a bit of both. But in RL, I am around 70/30 emo/logical.

I can agree with this.

For now!

I called her naive, not you. So, why jump to her defense when it had nothing to do with you?

I wonder how you see me as ignorant.

You told me I over-estimate my capabilities, when in truth, you have no idea what my capabilities even are. Making an accusation without knowing the facts is ignorant.

lol. I'm not mad that you called me a bitch earlier. I've been called far worse than that over the years.

As for thinking you're dumb... if you're as naive as you appear to be, then yes, I do think you're pretty stupid.
