I think Dr. Al Carlisle was exercising wishful thinking when he came up with that one. The brain differences of psychopaths are too great. I think psychopaths are born. I have met very young children who were really mean for no specific reason.
she was psychologically abusive, but as a child you interpreted this event as simply 'her ignoring you and you trying to choke yourself. this suicide attempt(?) was most likely the final straw of having a neglectful bitch of a mother, who had made you feel worthless, so worthless in fact that your reaction to her abuse was to punish yourself
I was never sensitive as a kid. I wasn't very emotional and wasn't much interested in trying to bond or form friendships with other children. I enjoyed spending time by myself.
I'm exactly the same today as I was back then - unemotional, self-absorbed and not much interested in being with other people, unless I can find some use in them.
I do like studying people though, studying their reactions and emotions. It's interesting.
