I can usually just make it seem like I have some kind of secret and however I'm playing with tends to make it up and I run with it.

So this is something you do on a fairly regular basis, then? Can you describe such an incident in more detail?

Its not something I do that often anymore, I used to do it to my ex to piss her off when she was irritating me but I can't remember any details. Its been over a years since the last time I did this.

I'll bet you can recall an incident if you try. Is this the ex that you hit?

 I only have one ex, I haven't led the most promiscuis of lives to date. Most times boil down to me intentionally modifying my behavior in some way, she would notice and get curious, I'd be evasive and it would end with her accusing me of cheating on her or not loving her or some such other nonsense. I'd run with it for a bit without ever admitting to anything. Its incredibally immature but has definite entertainment value, at least for me but I'm not the most mature of people sometimes. Theres also the fun part of convincing the other person that its nothing be concerned about after you've caused the meltdown.

So you deliberately sought to provoke a negative reaction out of her, and fed off the ensuing drama. Did you ever notice a pattern concerning when you prodded her in this manner?

-Or convincing them that it was really all their fault. I plowed through many weak-willed men in such a manner before my current relationship.

What circumstances led to your hitting her?

 i'd consider that you were just trying to fuck with me so that i would lose confidence in my instincts over time, and always assume i was being paranoid. i'd take your credit card to an 'ATM' and see if anything grabbed my attention.

Good answer.  Making you think otherwise is part of it.  It's good to know that you don't know that you can make hidden containers with truecrypt.  The only thing I use credit cards for is plane tickets and the hotel as I usually don't want to deal with the aggrivation of getting them in cash.  Possibly a rental car and maybe an ATM withdrawl or two.

Final question:  We're sitting on the couch watching tv, drinking beer, and being totally useless in every way.  Suddenly I look at you and say "Let's go [some activity] for the weekend.  Pack a bag." where "some activity" is an extreme sport, or something dangerous like photographing cheetahs in the wild up close, that has a small but non-negligable chance of permanently injuring us or even killing us.  What is your response?

 The rersponse doesnt realllllyyyy matter, because he will have paid me a lot of money to sit up on a hill with a barrett , watching your backs discreetly while you photograph the leggy cats. The danger is negligible. lol
