I need to do something about all this makeup because right now it's just all sitting on my desk.
I was going to put it on my new shelf but it's a long story. I was going to have this guy fix my shelf on Friday before the air bnb-ers came and then I don't remember what happened or why but we were just busy and it ended up not happening.
I'm planning on using that shelf for my books but yeah I was just going to use it for the makeup for now because before it was just all over my floor.
so yeah, need a place for it all.
my air bnb-ers saw it all over my desk and they were like, "holy shit" lol
I have less makeup than that red headed girl I posted the video of so. I'm not *that* bad lol
it would look a lot prettier on some pretty shelves.
I want to display it because it makes me very happy
not just tucked away in drawers
New Foundations that have just dropped: (that I want to try)
My recommends for summer: (medium coverage) (For that natural no-makup bare skin finish)
To glow up your foundation, make it look even more natural and glowy, I recommend still setting with a light layer of setting powder like Laura Mercier setting powder or whatever your favorite is, and then using Glam Glow setting spray as a final layer to really melt the products together.
If you struggle with finding good tones for your skin- your face seems lifeless, dull, ashy, greyness in certain areas, ghostly, etc. I highly recommend using a warmer tone foundation like Fenty, and a warmer tone setting powder from Fenty, Huda, of Jeffree Star- there are color correcting shades in Jeffree's line. But these powders and foundations look beautiful on skin that needs warmth and color and just really nail it to me.
I have olive toned skin so the struggle is real finding a foundation shade that not only matches, but doesn't make me look like a ghost, or grey. Same for powder. So those brands are a life saver. They just have the best tones to me to work with.
And also if you are still struggling with grayness, a lot of people get it around the mouth and under the eyes- and a concealer as strong as taste shape isn't doing it for you, I recommend using a color corrector from Nikkita dragon or Jeffree star's color correcting concealer, and using his concealer in combination with that because it is a better formula with a more natural finish and less cake than taste shape tape.
As far as under the eyes go its ok to use that, just go one shade lighter for a brightening effect and then powder over top of course.
I haven't seen any contours or bronzers that scream at me this summer.
I'm still comparing brow products to find my favorite but I highly recommend the Kybrow as I've ranted about in this thread previously.
Nars orgasm blush is my current fave.
i've been into pink and green lately as like my latest summer collection (i'm weird and divide my creative inspirational whatever shit into like seasons like they do in high fashion don't ask)
i express these collections on my blog and pinterest and shit just whatever is creative idk https://maryelizagreg.tumblr.com
and ironically, jeffree star and kylie jenner come and release pink and green themed collections right on time.

ngl though, jenny69 on youtube, her last two collections were both pink and green themed and to die for... love them so much.
i can't find her product launches from those two collections, she probably took them down because they're sold out... but honestly she should of kept them up because they were beautiful to look at? hm. maybe something hpapened. i dunno.
jeffree stars collection:
jackie aina released a little ABH palette. those glittery shades are really getting to me. XD

if I was POC i would have bought this so fucking fast. this is stunning and beautiful, not a top priority for me but, obviously for POC Its a fucking god send. so creamy and delicious.
lots of new foundations dropped:
urban decay naked foundation
dose of colors
fenty new moisterizing foundation
tarte spf foundation
pat magrath
oooo. Having a hard time resisting this one.
i love all things rainbow so, she's a hitter for me.
but my first thought that drew me was due to the fact, for the longest time i've been like, "why doesn't color pop just do a full rainbow palette or something?"
-1 year later-
it's here! lol
so its very satisfying to see my dreams come to fruition. all i had to do was speak it into the universe.
pretty much everything color pop makes i'm like, "yeah i want that."
but if i had to prioritize, i just want this rainbow eyeshadow palette the most, of all their releases and, of everything in this collection.
and i'd probably just throw the "foursome" in there too because it's v cute and necessary ok.
Thoughts
-Face Milk:
i'm not sold on the skincare, there's no overwhelming body of evidence that you really *need* these. just from a dermatological point of view. i have a very clinical approach to skin care but, these are def really cute. love the branding of fourth ray, and it's great they're providing something kind of boujee and cute for a very low price.
i think they're a good pick me up if you're someone that enjoys the self care process of putting on skin care that smells and feels good. and you like the cuteness of it. but is it going to make a wild difference. i don't think so.
i want them because they smell good and theyre cute but, that's the only reason behind it. if someone proves me wrong though about how effective they actually are as skin care products i would be more willing to buy them.
but for the reason that they're more like little happy's, i just dont feel a need to prioritize these onto the buy list. but once again.... they are cute and smell good. so, very tempting lol.
but i've convinced myself i dont really *need* it.
-Liners: i've heard the liners are really only so-so. they're fun, i want all their colors to play with but- i have to say it's not a priority.
-Mascara: the concept of colorful mascara is fun but, not a need so it goes on the back burner with the colorful liners.
-Brushes: i dont need anymore brushes really, i already have my favorites.
