I think yellow is useful for any makeup artist, it's like a secret tool that can be used to create certain effects.

but I don't do the bright yellow eye shadow look unless I was going for a specific sunflower look, which I'd only do occasionally.

Yellow is warmth, which makes sense as in the light spectrum it's the opposite of Blue.

Why do ugly women bother putting on makeup? It just makes them look like clowns.

That just means they're bad at makeup. There are some ugly motherfuckers out there that have those attracted to their gender on a leash purely over makeup techniques.

As a thespian, I can say it's the closest technology we truly have to shapeshifting.

I want to apologize to any people i've been mean to in the past about them expressing their opinions.

It wasn't cool of me to get all weird about that... to each their own. My b!

I wanna be nice and accepting, but sometimes in the past I was cranky

That's a lot of people, you might want to be more specific.

What about when their opinions are about you?

Fuck being accepting of "everything", honest conflict has more value than dishonest harmony.

but i will have to go in store and swatch it again just to make sure it's what i really want, but it's currently half off. and i wanted it when it first came out, but it's like 50 dawlas

and i was like... yo i can't justify that on this highlighting palette of "fun" colors.

but for 20 dawlas? i can justify it.

Kylie Summer Collection 2019 Review

(Under the Sea)

This collection is very summer, needless to say. Reminds me of vacationing on a remote island in the middle of the ocean. Out on the boat all day. Or drinking mimosas in Cancun. Which is all very on point for me personally.

Especially growing up on the water in Florida, this packaging just really sold me. The PR package comes in a big sea shell, which is a big trend I'm seeing right now in home decor and fashion. It was a cute way to do a beachy summer theme, without talking about mermaids.

The shade beach bum I've seen people with deeper skin tones need a darker liner for. I even use it with a darker liner, because nude-y shades tend to clash with my skin in a weird way. A lot of people with deeper skin tones I've heard calling it "donut mouth" ? lol because it looks like you ate a powdered donut or something.

It's truly gorgeous and goes with the shadow beautifully, and a tan I might add- but def needs a liner. Which- wasn't included in this collection! I would of *loved* to have just one liner in the collection personally but, if you bought the one from the koko collection would def work.

The lips themselves smell delicious, it's kind of the scent I've associated with strictly kylie's lip products now. They all have this distinct smell and I appreciate her keeping it consistent. Every formula smells like a hint of vanilla.

I don't have any lipsticks that smell like that, but it's a nice perk I will say. And the formula is just my cup of tea- it's like buttery smooth, but then is also matte appearing- without being *dry flaky dessert lips from the saharah dessert matte* just very comfortable light, feeling. Like, you don't even really notice it's there. It doesn't slip around or go patchy. But you can eat and rub your lips through out the day and it fades in a natural way- so you won't look crazy through out a dinner, or a long day- wearing the shade. It will just slowly tone down evenly- without going patchy. Which- I don't know how she did that. But it's excellent. You can't even feel anythings there, but the color is still there. After eating a meal.

I even fell asleep with it still on and the next morning it looks like my lips have been like, photoshopped a new color- like there's nothing on my lips but they just look pinkier/redder in a cute way. It was a good thing not a bad thing. So, she withstands the "overnight" test with flying colors. Stunning.

The topper shade that is glimmery, I didn't expect to like. But now I almost can't do a lip without it. It's like, highlighting your cheek bones- but for your lips. It's highlighter for your lips. But it can also be worn by itself as a metallic lip if you want. But I just dab a bit on there, rub it in with my finger, at the top just under the cupids bow, and on the center of the bottom lip. And it makes it look like the lips are juicy and glossy- but without wearing gloss and your lips still being matte. It's smooth as it goes on (no gritty texture), and high shine pay off instantly. You don't have to work to get a lot on there. I just barely touched my lips with it, and it was like BAM good morning. I almost feel like my lips look ugly now without the highlight.

Kind of like how you get so used to having lashes, that without them you're like "damn, who are you. Who is this person. We don't know her." *re-applies falsies to go to sleep in them*

The two liquid lips are actually labelled as "lip blushes" which is something entirely different from her other formulas. And I was pleased by this formula which is very light and wearable. Once again like, nothing is on. They *didn't* have the vanilla scent for whatever reason which I was like :( but they are such beautiful shades. They pop off your face in a pleasant way. It like instantly brings your whole face to life. But you can't even tell you're wearing lipstick. It just looks like my actual lips. Which is why it's a different formula. It's lighter than a feather. Feels like, the nyx cloud paints almost? But even dryer than that (in a good way) while still like "dying" your lip the color. But it's pigmented enough you can go outside the lines if you want to over line your lips with it a bit still. It's very comfortable, very cute. A very good formula to invest in if you are shied away from the matte formula because you feel like it's too drying or heavy of a liquid lip for you. And this is dry instantly as you put it on so you don't have to wait for it to dry or anything.

The shadow formula is perfect. There wasn't a single shade I was dissapointed by. It all comes off like you think it would. And they're extremely soft to the touch they feel like, I can't describe it but the mattes feel like the softest thing ever but they bind to the skin really well and just stick there. But blend out beautifully. I could create a whole eyelook just with one matte shade because it blends itself out into this natural beautiful gradient. I die for kylie's neutral shadows. They're the best because of those reasons. They're the prettiest on the eyes. They just blow me away. I'm like, how can a brown eyeshadow be this beautiful? But somehow she does it.

The metallics are flipping gorgeous. You don't need a ring light or direct sunlight to make the glitters shine. You will look like you have actual gold on your eyelids, or whatever you pick. The green shade is really fun. There is fall out with applying them so I recommend doing your eye looks first then do your base. The formula feels squishy to the touch like the nyx mochi things palette, but even more play-doughey. Which is interesting.

And the new gloss shades blow me away, and you are the sun are the most *glittery* yet that she's released. They're not like the other high glosses, these are like her glittery high glosses on steroids. But, wearble still. lol. If you want your lips to fucking sHINE like the sun is beaming directly on them and it's golden hour- that's what they will look like wearing these shades I have to say I'm really impressed these were bangers. I was like "I couldn't possibly need more kylie high glosses." And then I see them and I'm like.... oh no wait, these are actually 10x more than I expected they would be and I need them in my life. The formula is very juicy, no grittiness, very light weight. Without being sticky or like giving you weird lines between your two lips when you open and close them (i would call that goopyness?) lol so that's good. And they're delicious.

This whole collection is very golden hour inspired I'm realizing, and kylie made a post on her instagram saying golden hour was her favorite time of day and so I think a lot of inspiration was drawn around that perhaps in this collection. All of it beams the way glistening products do around that time- but without needing it to actually be golden hour.
