don't listen blanc whatever you do, keep posting here
she can't. she's addicted to self-destructive behaviors just like I am but its more than addiction. if it was only addiction she would be fine by now because she's been through lots of therapy and is on medication. its more to it than that and nice video btw blanc. Ik people say you ramble and take forever to get to the point and you do but it's still interestng and whats more important is you expressing yourself the way you want to and creatively releasing all that shit. youtube vids are a great outlet for that I got too shy to keep up with mine tho
i'm not saying it's 100 percent impossible but it's probably like 99% impossible. i'm not trying to be pessimistic but i've tried every single thing I can to stop my self-destructive behaviors too and it just doesnt work. so i might be projecting but its my opinion that she can't just simply "follow what the therapist tells her to do" because her brain just isn't wired like that the way a neurotypical's is
i'm noticing i'm projecting my own issues a little bit and we are 2 very different people so I'm not trying to act like I know exactly what you're struggling with but this is more in response to people like Legga and others telling you "just change, just be this just be that" like it should be so simple for you but your brain is wired differently than theirs. "just stop using drugs, it's simple and easy all you need is willpower! Just listen to your therapist" for people who have more normally wired brains they can do that but not everyone can. I know they're just trying to help though and don't understand from your perspective what it's like to be you and deal with the psychological issues you deal with on a daily basis. i'm glad you're sober rn if you are and definitely wouldn't want people to not encourage you to not use but they shouldn't expect it to be as easy for you as it is for them, when very obviously you have more psychological issues to deal with than they do because you have metal illness thrown into the mix where as most people here if they have mental disorders just have narcissism, autism and maybe some mild depression
Very real.
Yeah, I understand this topic and have studied it down to the molecular level, from the perspective of neuropsychology. I've been in dbt and cbt therapy among other types of therapy for years now- which also understands the concept of words/thoughts on a patients behavior- and mental health.
The coping I've done here through writing has been healthy for me and helped my mental perspectives change over time. I think if it was done without the guise of a therapist and psychiatrist, while on medication- it perhaps wouldn't of been as effective like you are worried about.
But I'm making sure to do things that help my mental health not hinder it trust me, and thank you for your concern.
