Something reminded me recently of a kid I saw a few years ago when I took a semester at a community college. There was a very large, very low functioning mentally handicapped guy in my College algebra class. He was given unlimited time for exams and other special privileges so he could complete his work. He even had a chaperone that walked her around the first 2 weeks. He told people he wanted to go to Johns Hopkins and become an RN.
I'm sure people will disagree with me, but I don't think someone like this should be going to college for a career like that. He wasn't capable of doing even schoolwork on his own, he deffinately wouldn't be capable of taking care of other people. I only went to that CC for one semester so IDK what happened to him but I can't imagine someone who needs other people to tie his shoes possibly got into John's Hopkins.
The worst part of this senerio was everyone telling him how "great" it was for him to pursue his dream. That isnt great, this is a mentally disabled person investing thousands of dollars into a future they are incapable of obtaining.
It seems you are the retard for not understanding why he is allowed to study there. It's about sharing knowledge. College is not specifically made for the only ones who want to get a job because they are broke or just looking to learn so they can earn some money to pay for their miserable life. Anyone who wants to learn a skill should be allowed too. You are trying to censorship people from doing what they want for a better end, just because you have a different point of view. You are an idiot, and I would not even say you are a bad person, because reading your post I genuinely believe that's all you could conclude in your limited mind. That's why philosophy is good and should be mandatory throughout high school.
