I personally don't hold Bitcoin. Like if someone bought it now as a long term hold, they will have to wait till 18,400something just to double their money. By the time BTC double in value, a lot of altcoins would outperform it in gains.
Ive made $8 in 2 months on ny initial TRX investment. I do plan to hold more in crypto, but most alt coins cant be flat out bought with USD, so bitcoin is needed to trade for the alt coins

However when it comes to that, I like to use Ethereum instead, cause it's cheaper to move from A to B, plus it's much quicker
Ethereum can now transfer in 10-20 seconds instead of 15 minutes. But even when it took 15 minutes to transfer it, it was still cheaper and faster than Bitcoin. My personal experience moving Bitcoin was never more than 1 hour, but It can take up to 3 hours.
Bitcoin and Ethereum have a transaction fee, a tiny portion of it gets allocated for miners. For this reason, Miners will keep mining when all 21,000,000 Bitcoin are mined in the year 2140. Because they can still mine Bitcoin, and it will be worth it cause by then Bitcoin's value will be beyond belief and mining a 0.0001 Bitcoin in a month will be splendid.
On top of this. Bitcoin is reliant on mining for security and hashrate. Security cause the more blocks created, the more impossible it is to hack into, which is like impossible within impossible which is overkill.

Right now there is a little over 4 million BTC left to mine. I can't imagine it will take another 120 years to mine the last Bitcoin. Unless the mining difficulty goes through the roof, which it already has, and will again.

I also save all used casings so that I have materials to make more, but that project is developing slowly.
