Edit: Apparently trying to make this joke on Facebook just got my account flagged for spam.

Donkey.

Iron Dome is a Missile defense system.

Israel has one which is why Hamas can launch thousands of rockets that aren't very effective against Israel.

Obviously, but what is the proposed budget for such a missile dome?

Factor the following and it could be quite a lot of tax money:

How many miles long is Isreal?

How many miles long is America?

Isreal: 290 x 85 = 24,650 miles

America: 2800 x 1650 = 4,620,000 miles

4,620,000 / 24,650 = 187.42.

Within these projections it would cost America 187 times the budget. A quick Google search yields that it costs $50,000,000 per battery with 10 to 15 currently deployed, an amount that has cost America $1,600,000,000 from 2011 to 2021 with another $1,000,000,000 approved in 2022. If there are no ways to cut costs and we remain within these budget projections, that should cost America:

$2,600,000,000 x 187 = $486,200,000,000 (486 billion).

Don't make me laugh.

Iron Dome defense systems need to be placed strategically for major populated areas like cities, not the fucking desert where basically no one is.

Mind you this is from someone who wants to put tariffs on foreign trade while claiming to reduce inflation and a desire to escape the national debt.

It's a pipe dream, one larger and more absurd than The Wall.

A booming economy is one where more people are working. This does reduce inflation which is the opposite of stimulus checks or SSI. Without the tariffs, the world has been taking advantage of the US in trade, just as the US was paying more for NATA while they needed it the least. Also there's nothing wrong with having a desire to reduce the national debt ( Bush and Obama at one point spent half of the national debt in 16 years )

Are you calling Trump a liar?

All of this before even going on about all of the issues Isreal's Iron Dome has had, it's not the best system so much as a bandage. When under heavy rocket fire the tech simply can't keep up.

How long do you figure it takes to turn an economy around?

The same way one would say we have radio all over the country, but then when we go out into the mountains far out into the wild all of that goes out the window. I'm fine with that and I'd be fine if the Iron Dome doesn't cover the USA's empty spots.

I'm not concerned with weather or not Trump's Iron Dome will safeguard nowhere.

The US is already capable of intercepting rockets anyway.

Well it happened between Obama and Trump. China became the largest economy under Obama in 2014, Trump took it back. Now we see China became the largest economy under Biden. So it can happen pretty quickly.

They ought to perfect the technology before wasting a shit ton of cash on it, and like you said the US is already capable of interception so what's the point of The Iron Dome other than a new Wall-like symbol he can push for?

I disagree, the economy has remained in a liquid form and the national debt keeps growing.

Believe what you want. Fact remains, Trump is better than Biden with the economy. Also better with Military, and national spending. The US and the world for that matter is better off with Trump in office.

How long do you figure change takes to show on economic figures, just a few minutes or something? We also just got through COVID, that period before even looking into foreign trade was a big shift in the economy, especially when that was a worldwide phenomenon rather than a localized one.

The problem is moreover the groceries not lowering their prices back into reasonable ranges, instead trying to bribe the consumer with coupons.

Direct context aside, a lot of what we see during the run of any president's term are the side effects of the president who came before them. Change takes years to see bear fruit, and when resources are pooling while others have an interest in lining their own pockets you see the improvements go right back down.

The Grocery can't just lower prices. They'd go out of business.

Inflation doesn't happen out of greed. Period.
