Even though I usually buy games cheaper, I have been trying to stop because I'm poor and a little adds up.

Same, especially now that new games come out for $70 and DLC is the norm.

Most of it's over not wanting to run out of shit to do in games I really love, but the price can't really be ignored sometimes. There's some decent indie games that are dirt cheap with quality gameplay but those run out too.

Only game I bought recently is the Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 on Epic by buying an account that had it. And then baby whining that it's hard cause I'm playing on level 1 critical like a tard. imo the games make more sense to level up and ignore the grind.

The level ups are so satisfying though, that little noise it makes while telling you what you got's weirdly good.

I was sad that the games after the 1st stopped doing the custom class system where you pick a specialization and a weakness from the get-go, and even your XP track for early vs later growth speeds. Something as simple as the sword path giving you an extra attack was really satisfying for something so small.

Gaming still has a long way to go, I guess.

What do you mean?

I'd argue it's doing better than ever, and that the real issue is a lack of profit in the speedrunning community.

Shield gives you extra item slots. Staff gives you extra magic which affects the strength of magic. Sword doesn't matter because strength starts to hardcap before 99 and there are power boosts that raise strength. Classes were never balanced. Staff is the best while shield is an okay pick over useless sword.

Sword gives you an extra attack, and which one you pick affects the order it's acquired.

Item slots are meh, I sacrifice shield and do more than fine.

Staff gives bonus mana which is better than the power in itself.

It's a big deal which is picked, and sword is delightfully mindless for the room to spam the attack button. Magic-based keyblades tend to cover for the deficit of not picking Staff, but I can't justify sacrificing it.

You mean it affects the moves that it unlocks? Extra attack is kind of meaningless. You don't get the extra item slots unless you pick shield so sacrificing it doesn't matter. MP Rage is more useful than a lot of stuff. Staff gives both more mana and more magic power because magic power is based on how much mana you have.

Yeah, I saw some differences when I did a staff run and bothered to look it up. It affects the order, but more importantly it affects how many of it's strength you end up with.

Extra attack is kind of meaningless.

It's fun, and as a multiplier of your existing strength it adds up.

You don't get the extra item slots unless you pick shield so sacrificing it doesn't matter.

I think sacrificing it has you with one less overall, plus lower defense which sucks if you're bad at dodging.

MP Rage is more useful than a lot of stuff.

Don't you have to allow yourself to get hit for it to mean anything? If you aren't getting hit it's just taking up space.

Staff gives both more mana and more magic power because magic power is based on how much mana you have.

Yeah but what are you really using your magic on?

The keyblades with magic focus tend to cover that need well enough on their own if it's for whatever reason necisary.
