I tried it the nice way in my earlier years, being who people wanted rather than being myself from figuring that's how to get people to listen. Believe it or not, that was worse for a long, long list of reasons, and at the end of both paths people tend to not really be listening unless challenged to.
Someone can be nice for the wrong reasons just how another can be mean for the right ones, what matters at the end of the day is one's intent, what they hoped to achieve and why. Personally, I've seen the plot be easier to push when playing a more antagonistic role, and whoever is capable of seeing through that supposed harshness ends up taking it more genuinely in the long term.

That seems to be a very different TC that we know. What happened there? Even delora seemed surprised that TC would throw his former friend under the bus.

I like getting both sides to a story rather than just taking one and running with it like you're doing with Delora, and with how often you make it about gender I don't think you'd recognize when a male is the victim, or even a victim.
Either way, what kind of person would I be, would any of us be, to not get the authorities involved with rape and strangulation, regardless of how long it's been? What, do rapists just become entitled to it after so much time passes without it being called in?
