Personally, it's not like I don't have a lot at this point. 

 Why debate?  What drawbacks are you even considering?

I'm not really the biggest fan of cops. 

The issue I see though is like... how long we've waited and done nothing has in itself been a gamble. There was a peacetime where the two were separated and no risk was there, but then the two got back together at a later point and now she's resumed reporting abuse, and even in one post made a point of distinguishing how the rape is past tense while the strangling is present tense.

 No, that's been a while now, it's not the first time she said it. What changed for you to be proactive now?

 No, that's been a while now, it's not the first time she said it. What changed for you to be proactive now?

I don't remember the strangling portion, just the rape. I otherwise started adopting a more neutral stance around the time the two separated, stating that neither is good for the other and bring the worst out of eachother. 

Then they got back together, BR seemed extra defensive about how it was going to work, and then I catch wind today in a topic that with their resuming things that she's being strangled repeatedly, feels threatened for her life, and thinks that him being put away will make her homeless.

The rape situation was questionable until he straight up seemed confused later.
