Where I’m at with it has more to do with letting someone realize something vs making a decision for them.
When it's being reported with a person who otherwise will simultaneously justify a need to defend their abuser, it's bound to continue for a long time.
She keeps acting like no one will listen to her, now that a spotlight's on her she's trying to make it go away. That tells me that she sees herself as feeling in danger, a danger she will do nothing to stop other than face more rape and strangling.
