The issue I see though is like... how long we've waited and done nothing has in itself been a gamble. There was a peacetime where the two were separated and no risk was there, but then the two got back together at a later point and now she's resumed reporting abuse, and even in one post made a point of distinguishing how the rape is past tense while the strangling is present tense.
