I have to forage dandelions to eat, And gather the harvest from wild fruit trees. There are days that i go without eating at all. Food has grown more and more expensive overtime. i can see some ways to get out if my situation a little but but i cant help but feel stuck. I have lived on almost nothing for years trying to save the bits of money that trickle my way. I will buy some basic land soon and make a small farm so i can carr for my family someday. i am also going to try my hand at stock. Wish me lucK.
Um... Aren't you on SSI? And didn't you brag about scamming them for more money than you're supposed to be getting? If you're living on dandelions, you may want to rethink your spending habits. lol
you clearly dont know anything about how ssi works. I am living on 750 a month and i am approved for food stamps but it never comes in the mail. due to covid i cant pick it up and tjey have resent the card 10+ times a d it never comes. No i dont brag about doing something for survival out of desperation. im eating dandelions because its the only way to save money so we can have enough to get out of this hole the system tries to trap me in and save enough scraps to crawl out. dony tell me how im wrong or how you tjink it works or actually works or should work or what your aunt sarahs situation is because you dont know shit about my life and im not going to explain it all.
I'm TC's legal representative. For SSI. In the same state as you. lol
$750 per month is the maximum if you're paying rent. You're staying with family instead of paying rent. Which means you should be getting just over $500, max. But, as you once boasted, you're lying to them about your living situation to maximize payments.
While I agree that either way it's not really a livable sum, it is in fact more than you're meant to be getting, and more than the nothing it takes to live on dandelions and dumpster diving. A life I'm versed in myself, and can also go into detail on, should you choose to exploit the justification. If you want to talk about living on less than $60/month, boy have I got some stories for you.
That entirely aside, I lost my job due to Covid, and in the meantime, TC's payments, without lying about our rent situation, is enough to cover food costs. And we're not even on food stamps, like you are.
You say the card has continually not shown up in the mail, but they only send the card once, at the beginning of enrollment, if you're not receiving payment in checks. You've been on SSI for some time, as I understand, and receiving payments. Unless you mean that your food stamps haven't shown up, in which case you have SSI money you could be using instead. And if it's truly been ten times in a row, you're in for a sizeable backpay, which I imagine you know.
You also chose to move to Hawaii, giving up your rent-free situation to pay an overpriced rental fee for a literal fucking tent. That doesn't scream 'desperation' to me. It screams poor financial management.
I don't doubt you're under the poverty line, and that it's stressful. Many people here are. But let's not roleplay that you're like some potato famine victim, dying on the roadside with grass stains around your lips. You're hoarding SSI. I've got no beef with that, it's sensible, and honestly, fuck their system. But you're fine. You have money, and a support network. And you only made this thread to congratulate yourself on your victimhood.
