You should know what it is I do, before deciding that. You have a very limited view of my work, by your own admission. I think you're annoyed because you can't one-up me. You make these assessments based on a limited view and 5-minute experience as a shift-leader at a burger king.

You even decided that my workplace is shit. You don't know where I work. However, if we go by any usual "career" measurement standard, my position is significantly better than yours. Not that I'd care, but it seems like it's a big deal to you.

Seems to matter a lot to you that I would be better than you at your job.

To address your attempt to one-up me, yet again, you wouldn't even qualify. It is literally impossible for you to do my job. It is significantly more complicated than cutting potatoes. You would know if you had ever bothered to ask me what it is I do. You can't one-up me there either.

Not that I'd care about that, btw, but it also seems like a big deal to you. I don't know why you feel insecure about it. There's no reason to.

I didn’t say I would qualify, I said I would be better at it.

It would be impossible for you to do my job with potato-cutting experience. Address my post or gtfo.

I’ve been asked to sing 1 time. Hail to the Redskins right before they changed their name. And I did it standing on one leg or something I can’t even remember.

Awesome.

Meh, bored now. All in all, you seem like a decent worker, although I'm not convinced you're the best in the food industry.

Even after you couldn't prove it?

This thread's dead now, unless anyone wants to resurrect it.

It'd probably be less dead if you were less withholding tbh.

See you everyone. I take back what I said about it being nice to see you, Turncoat. You really surprised me by being so petty and disrespectful; I've done nothing to deserve you trying to start fights with me over nothing and everything.

You always look for a dodge when you're losing, you held on much better when it was versus Inquirer.

Maybe you did do something, like be terrible at your job.

Yet I'm getting more salary than you and am getting promoted, while you work at a burger king.

Dilberts principle of business is horrifyingly accurate.

The Dilbert principle is a concept in management developed by Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, which states that companies tend to systematically promote incompetent employees to management to get them out of the workflow. Under the Dilbert principle, employees who were never competent are promoted to management to limit the damage they can do. Adams first explained the principle in a 1995 Wall Street Journal article, and expanded upon it in his 1996 business book The Dilbert Principle.

In the Dilbert strip of February 5, 1995, Dogbert says that "leadership is nature's way of removing morons from the productive flow". Adams himself explained:
I wrote The Dilbert Principle around the concept that in many cases the least competent, least smart people are promoted, simply because they’re the ones you don't want doing actual work. You want them ordering the doughnuts and yelling at people for not doing their assignments—you know, the easy work. Your heart surgeons and your computer programmers—your smart people—aren't in management. That principle was literally happening everywhere.
Adams explained the principle in a 1995 Wall Street Journal article.[2] Adams then expanded his study of the Dilbert principle in his 1996 book The Dilbert Principle, which is required or recommended reading at some management and business programs.[3][4][5][6] In the book, Adams writes that, in terms of effectiveness, use of the Dilbert principle is akin to a band of gorillas choosing an alpha-squirrel to lead them by an incredibly convoluted process.

Huh, learned something today.

You should know what it is I do, before deciding that.

If you aren't going to say (and potentially prove) what that is, then you making this statement is just you being intentionally vague.

You have a very limited view of my work, by your own admission. I think you're annoyed because you can't one-up me.

He already has in more ways than one in this topic, mostly through showing a sense of ease when it comes to answering questions similar to those you're otherwise prone to dodging.

He's more confident, he's less withholding, and so far he's done a better job proving his points relatively speaking. He even seems capable of inference (as seen in this post), something you seem too afraid to do publicly by comparison. He's even shown himself to have a better understanding of this sort of work than average, even calculating his productivity speed and being thanked by those around him, and his means of answering questions shows how his sense of diplomacy is superior to yours through coming out more naturally.

While we can sit here and be specific about the terms of the original debate, if this is purely over if he can or can't 'one up you' I'd argue he's currently the one topping you.

You even decided that my workplace is shit. You don't know where I work. However, if we go by any usual "career" measurement standard, my position is significantly better than yours. Not that I'd care, but it seems like it's a big deal to you.

What makes it better, just that it turns over a higher salary?

Jeez dude, all these dodges, filibuster, and now ad homs?

I expected better from you, it almost seems as if you're less friendly towards me purely over my impartially taking Chapo's side in this debate. If I just sided with you every single time, rather than looking at the merits of each situation as separate instances, I'd be showing myself to be very blatantly biased to the point of my stances not meaning anything in favor of 'allies vs enemies' nonsense.
