why couldn't it just be to do with the situation? ofc if certain things tend to upset me then they probably also would have in the past but that doesn't mean I got angry with a guy calling me a promising young woman because you dad also didn't respect me beyond my role as a woman. I can dislike both seperately, I'm not hung up on the past. I think the fact that I do give myself that respect now is why I got noticably (to me) annoyed
